Liverpool defender Danny Wilson is expected to join
a Championship side on loan when the loan window opens, Southampton, West Ham and Leicester are the teams believed to be in the running to sign him on loan until january, my source is from within Liverpool Football Club and this was further referenced during the Scotland v Czech Republic match when Danny Wilson came on as a substitute and was confirmed by Sky Sports commentators who have the same source as I do , if you do not believe this then check it for yourself.

Fleetwood attacker Jamie Vardy, who has made 13 appearances this season, scoring a goal a game, is in talks with Championship side Southampton. Southampton have been looking into the signing of Heurelho Gomes from Tottenham. Southampton are now tabling a 2 million bid for the 30 year old Brazilian shot stopper.
Southampton are also looking to add the 24 year old Bristol City striker, Nicky Maynard to their team for a fee of 3.4 million.
Southampton are also looking to peruse their interest in the 6 foot 7 centre back, Flint, from Swindon. It is believed that a 750,000 bid should be sufficient.
Raidi Jaidi, Tom Forecast, Ryan Dickson and Jonathan Forte will have their contracts terminated to make space for new faces.

possibly surman may return or neil kilkenny in midfield and after barts peformance yesterday expect a new keeper.

Thanks Mike for collating the latest rumours. After saturday will be lots of talk about goalies though dont expect us to be siging likes of Gomes to sit on the bench! Would rather we look at Lewis at PBoro who has been training at QPR.

I think Maynard is NA's main target but dont think we will be willing to pay the price as other clubs such as Leicester and W Ham will pay over the odds. Sharp may come now if we are willing to pay his wage demands, having MacKay as his agent won't help.

Simon Cox was a rumour after he scored twice against Southampton in pre season. He said he wants first team football to get in the Ireland squad. I think he'd be a great addition. On loan until end of season then buy him once promoted. Would be great alongside super Ricky lambert.

I thought that in the summer but think WBA have had some injuries so might keep him. Other problem is the cheating skates seem to be able to sign any WBA player on loan due to their new manager. Hopefully they might go into administration and get a transfer embargo!

Well Schlupp is at Leicester, highy rated with premiership clubs watching and under contract to 2013 so cant see that as a realistic proposition and us spending £3m on a goalie who will go on the bench is another very unlikely option, Now £3m on a striker to go straight in the first team would have me smiling

Hull City striker Matty Fryatt is a key target for Southampton as boss Nigel Adkins looks to find a strike partner for Rickie Lambert. He has been on target for Hull so far this season and it could involve Burnley and West Bromich Albion legend Richard Chaplow going the other way. Robert Koren is set on leaving the KC side, and so Playmaker Chaplow is top of the list. Southampton may have to cough up a fee of £1 million as well as the veteran to secure the services of Fryatt. Hull boss Nick Barmby has been cagey on the matter, and has hinted that negotiations could happen with The Saints. This will end a year long stay with The Tigers and a combined two and a half year stay with Southampton for Chaplow.

Nigel Adkins has been given a £6m transfer budget by Chairman Nicola Cortese for January's transfer window.
Billy Sharp remains a target but he may wait til the summer to move.
Jay Rodriguez' situation is still being monitored at Burnley, the young striker has been in good form and has noticed Burnley will most likely be playing championship football next year and believes Southampton could be a top flight team.
Lukas Jutkiewicz is the top target. A fee of around £1.5m will be enough to bring the Southampton born striker to the club.
Finally Brian Stock will join in January to help bring in some more midfield goals. £1m will be enough to secure his services.

Doncaster Striker Billy Sharp looks set to leave the Keepmoat in January. Southampton look the most likely to sign the £3 Million rated striker as they look for a new strike partner for top goalscorer Richie Lambert. Sharp had previously stated that he is happy at Doncaster but the prospect of promotion to the Premiership could be too good to refuse for the striker who has scored 9 goals in 15 league appearances this season.

will be interesting to see how this pans out as we dont know why he didnt sign before. If was about salary then suspect he will sign for Ipswich as think NC will stick to his guns. Problem likely to be made worse by bottom clubs in premiership who will gamble, Wolves, Blackburn Bolton all likely to be spending some money and MacKay as the agent will be looking for a bidding war for best salary. All I hope is we get a decision early so we can move onto next target, what we dont want is a drawn out affair.

A source from inside the South coast club has confirmed that Southampton FC have finalised discussions regarding three loan signings and all expected to sign until the end of the season. Jon Flanaghan of Liverpool presumably at right back, Paul Pogba from Man Utd to provide flair in midfield, and Simon Cox of West Brom with a view to a permanent signing. of these like the middle one the best. Think our best chance of actually signing decent players, Sharp will score goals now and I think Jutkiewicz is one who has potential.

Cant see Stockdale being allowed to leave Fulham as Schwartzer injured though they do have another 26 year old Hungarian goalie on their books. Dont need James as we need a younger goalie who is able to push Kelvin whose experience will be vital over next few months. Know Kelvin has the odd moment of madness, dont most goalies, but is a great character with the clubs interest at heart.

Maynard will attract a lot of attraction including from Fulham and Wigan so think we are better looking elsewhere, my money is on Fulham as Johnson and Zamora are out of favour. Would like Zamora but wont be able to afford his wages.
