Re: JANUARY TRANSFERS
Dyer has gone on loan to Swansea as well
It's just retarded to offer a player a new 3 year contract then send them out on loan, only our board could do it.

It's money talking again. Have they said how much ?
£12 million - sadly there appears to be no sell on clause for Saints to benefit from, according to the Echo.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFERS
Jan explains things http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11166
"The point of a loan player coming in is that they have to be better than what we already have and they have to be available for our team, because there is no point in putting someone on the pitch who is no better than what we already have,"
So why did Jan say recently about Ryan Smith and other loanees who haven't played much that they add strength in depth to the squad??? It's Burley all over again let's hope Jan keeps off the booze

Re: JANUARY TRANSFERS
I am starting to think that Jan is just the publicity expert. Brought in to act as a gofor for the boss.
Re: JANUARY TRANSFERS
we have been linked with Cristian Dailly and Owain Tudur Jones (both on loan I think)
Dailly of course would be a good signing, did well here last season. I think this one may well be true.#
Tudur Jones is a welsh international midfielder playing for Swansea who is 6ft 4 and scores goals from midfield so should be another good signing if true. Injury prone however.
Both would add some height to the team which is good.

The Marlon Harewood rumour has come up twice now as well. That would be a superb signing but seems very unlikely to me.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFERS
See the currant bun is saying Reading want Drew and are willing to offer Pearce as part of the deal.
£1.5 million as well. Surprised Lowe hasn't snatched their hands off.

Think Drew is worth a bit more.

Re: JANUARY TRANSFERS
Buying Jan Paul Saeijs. Dutch centre-back. 1.87cm so should compliment Perry if they play together
Loaning Jake Thomson to Bournemouth so now have no right-winger. I guess we will just have to continue with our left wingers and strikers playing so well on the right wing

Re: JANUARY TRANSFERS
Don't like the "if the fa sanction it" bit though. With his height he must be able to help us out. Just as long as he is quicker than Perry.
Re: JANUARY TRANSFERS
I reckon him and Perry could be a good partnership with him attacking the ball and Perry sweeping up a bit like Claus and Killer.

Something tells me this could be a loan with the option of purchasing. What club is willing to release their captain otherwise.
