Yeah seen that before, some good players at this level on there (Michael Ball -former Man City and Moritz Volz)

That list would be even more interesting in July when there are loads of decent Free Tansfers to snap up Smile

Volz could be the answer to our right back problems. Surprised he hasn't picked up by a Championship team, injury problems maybe?

May also tempt others that good place to be, know we know that!! Would like to see Barnard next, wouldnt be surprised if Ward is still signed and expect a few to start going the other way. If Ward comes in could see Thomas go.

rumour gaining strength is Gillett to Donny with Stock coming this. We pay Donny £1.5 m as well. That would seem good if we can pull it of as well. It is certainly a lot better being a red now ain't it.

Not sure about the fee, dont want to pay over the odds. Stock is winchester born so may well want to be back on the south coast but for Div 1 midfield player think half that price.

Looks like it's Stock - from Wikipedia:

On January 9th 2010 Doncaster Rovers agreed to sell Brian to League One side Southampton for a fee of £1.5m with Saints midfielder Simon Gillett moving in the other direction. Stock will have a routine medical at Saint Marys on Monday morning before a press conference to announce his arrival is held at 1400.

From Sky Sports...

Skysports.com understands Southampton are closing in on the signing of Coventry defender Elliott Ward.

Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman revealed last week Southampton had made an enquiry for Ward as they look to bolster their squad during this month's transfer window.

Ward is well down the pecking order at Coventry and with the player's contract due to expire in the summer, Coventry are ready to let him move on.

Saints boss Alan Pardew is a big admirer of Ward having worked with him during his time in charge of West Ham and he is keen to bring the 24-year-old to St Mary's.

Southampton are ready to offer Ward an 18-month deal to make the move to League One, as they look to add his signing to the signature of Jose Fonte

On Sky Sports website an hour ago....

Skysports.com understands Southampton are closing in on the signing of Exeter defender Dan Seaborne.

Seaborne, who is out contract in the summer rejected a new contract at City at the end of the last year as he kept his options open.

The versatile defender has come through the ranks at St James Park, making his debut for the Grecians in 2006.

The 22-year-old has impressed at Exeter over the last few seasons and his performances have attracted interest from other clubs.

Norwich saw several offers rejected for Seaborne during the last transfer window and it appears Southampton have stolen a march on their rivals by lining up a deal to take the player to St Mary's.

If Seaborne makes the move to Southampton he will become Alan Pardew's second defensive signing of this month's transfer window following the arrival of Jose Fonte from Crystal Palace

There are reports - including on SSN - that have announced the signing of Ward. Not according to Saints themselves, who posted this on their Twitter:

Lets clear this up once and for all-no leaked announcement, no premature announcement, just someone at Sky getting things v wrong! #saintsfc
