It was blindingly obvious to most saints fans this would happen, will see what Reed does now but no way Gardos will be ready for PL games for at least 4 -6 weeks. Played for U23s and was poor.

well have a feeling that Reed has cocked this up, should never have let Fonte leave without a replacement and looks like we ill struggle to get a CH in, Tasci seems to have an injury now so that should rule him out, Sakho wants stupid money, you would think he would just want to play having not played since April, and Liverpool want £20m so they can keep him, we would be throwing money away. We could have gone for Jagielka but looks like our main target was Tasci who once injured meant no fall back as never going to pay the money Liverpool or Sakho wants.

The goalie obviously Puel knows so must rate him but can someone explain why we signed Taylor??

I think the lack of a central defender will be a big problem, might it be worth giving Bertrand a try there?

A lot of fans are now seeing Reed for what I have always seen him as, an arrogant individual who loves the power that he has at saints and was nothing before he stumbled into saints, but it has taken a lot of time for them to have their eyes open. Fonte leaving would have been obvious to reed in September so he had 4 months to sort out, just what has he been doing? The "black box" seems to have been switched off and whoever we brought into replace Mitchell, has shown to be well out of his depth. There are a host of decent CHs in the Championships we could have watched and lined up, who would be better than Gardos and probably Stephens from an experience viewpoint. Supposedly tried to sign the Swansea CH Amati who is useless, and even then couldn't make that happen.

Reed now is the almighty at saints, surrounded himself with his acolytes, (Hunter and Black) who are despised, Puel does whatever he wants and Reed has to be the issue with players and managers who seem cannot stay more than a couple of years.

Unfortunately cannot see anything happening in terms of getting him out while Katrina is in charge as leaves the club for him to run, Hapless Ralph out doing his motivational pitches. Getting the 4 wins for safety will be a challenge with the squad we have if we get any more injuries and that assumes Virgil back in March which is no guarantee. Just better hope we fluke some results and survive this mess, sort out new owners then show Reed the door, if he is half as good as he thinks he is then all the top clubs will be queuing up to sign him up so wont be unemployed for long.
