LAST FEW DAYS OF THE WINDOW.......

Who should Saints be trying to sign? Is a central defender all we need, or what other positions need to be strengthened?

Should Saints keep Wanyama and Mane against their will or should they be sold.....and attempts made to replace them with players who want to play for us?

I'd like to see Saints sign a central defender, a strong defensive midfielder.....and a goal-grabbing striker. But unfortunately that is highly unlikely to happen. I still feel they could have done much worse than try for Charlie Austin.....Pelle is highly unlikely to maintain form through the whole season.

We certainly need a ch and just wish get that sorted. Would also like to have a big but creative guy in midfield,. I agree on Austin, i would use Long as a loan the other way as think a big disappointment, maybe our style but for me doesnt add a lot in work rate or goals

It's a strange twist that before we started losing I was kind of happy with our transfer dealings. Apart from the lack of Central defender. I may get back to that warm feeling once injured players return and maybe we win a game, though I just can't see where our goals are going to come from aside from Pelle.
Worryingly I've heard that Man U have offered for Van Dijk, so we are unlikely even to get our preferred defensive signing. Ho hum. Where is that attacking player/other strike option that we know we need?!?

Glad its all over, at least for 4 months! Problem is wanyama has been unsettled by Spurs tactics who will no doubt start media campaign in mid december. Think a deliberate tactic by Levy against clubs where could be a rival. Initial offer to WBA for Berinho was supposedly 5 m up front which is a joke from a so called "top" club.

Need to identify our target now for Wanyama, tell him if he goes will be next summer, not in January and buy his replacement first.
