Can only see Carrillo going on loan, where hopefully he might score a few goals and raise his valuation to maybe £10m to reduce our loss. If we sell now will be lucky to get£5m for him, great business Les!

It looks as though things are shaping up quite nicely with these 3 coming in. Ideally, could maybe do with a striker and attacking midfielder or winger. Another keeper unless Forster is going to buck up. Cover for right back,

Over the weekend I saw a couple of guys in Celtic shirts. I took the opportunity to ask them about Armstrong. They both had nothing but praise for him and said they were sure he'd do well for us.

I would agree Mike so far these seem like reasonable signings at reasonable, by premier league standards, prices.

I wonder whether they may see Bedanek as cover for RB and think Stephens or Hoedt might not be happy with another CB. With Carrillo gone on loan definitely need a striker though the ones we have been linked with don’t inspire much confidence. Still expect a few more to leave. Gunn seems the other one we are interested in but think that would be dependant on Forster going, don’t think even Pep could turn him into a good goalie nut at least they could afford his wages

Not sure about Marlon.......but at least he must have a bit of sense if he'd choose Saints over the Hammers.....

Would be an odd signing now unless they see him either as a right back or playing in a midfield holding role

I see Mark Hughes has told the Echo that with the signing of Vestergaard he now has a side that he is happy with, and implied that signings are near enough complete. Certainly, Saints have got stuck into their purchases quite well this summer but it would be nice to think 2 or 3 more signings could still be made.

I think we have cover for most places, the only real concern being our attack. Looks like he might play Redmond more central and he has scored in the friendllies but a bit of a difference doing that in premier league. Austin has never had a season not affected by injuries, Gabbadini who is hopefully staying is not a prolific scorer and Long may run around a lot but has never scored many goals. An opportunity for Gallagher?

No idea whether Saints will end up agreeing a deal on Ings....... but at least it seems to show that we are still looking to sign a striker

Well Boufal and Carillo gone on loan, looks like Classie will go on loan to Feyenord, shame we cannot seem to sell any of these and think this will impact on our ability to sign a striker. Still not sure we should risk Ings, and hope rumours about selling Gallagher are not true (£7m to Stoke) as for that money better off having here as another option. Welback at £15m might not be a bad bet

With an early end to Transfer window, something like 8 August can expect quite a bit of activity next couple of weeks with a lot of clubs panicking and loan deals being left to the last couple of days of the window.

Well Ings in at the last minute......and, despite rumours that other clubs wanted them, JWP, Targett, Lemina, Forster and McQueen still with us

Hope Ings can stay fit, if he gets 8 - 10 goals will be a good buy. Glad we kept JWP still a decent squad player, Lemina now needs to be more consistent, hoping Forster will go to one of the Turkish clubs supposedly interested and think McQueen will end up on loan to a championship club.
