Re: KOEMAN GONE
On tote sport 5/6 Pellegrini, next closest Puel at 5/1, bookies are seldom wrong though didn't stop me having a punt on Blanc at 50/1😀

Re: KOEMAN GONE
There may yet be a twist in the tale.... I see Jurgen Klinsmann has suddenly gone to 3/1 and 4/1 from nowhere!!
Re: KOEMAN GONE
US out of cops cup and Ralph with no other apparent contenders mean a new name to take wads of cash for the bookies. If kilns and and a success, top 7, and Poch finishes outside top 4 dumped out of CL early then kinsman will be off in a year to his "spiritual home" at Spurs for their new ground

Re: KOEMAN GONE
All getting a bit ridiculous now. With a manager of Pelligrini's status available keen to manage in premiership what are we playing at? How long in that situation should it take. Reed all over I am afraid and almost certainly apprehensive of a manager of his status. The club is looking as if it couldn't manage a p*** up in a brewery. Klinsman has less than 50 games as a club manager compared to Pellegrini, there is no contest unless we let Ralph run away with his American Dream. Which having lived there for 4 years will never be above us football, baseball, basketball and ice hockey

Re: KOEMAN GONE
What I find most interesting/curious about this one is that Bookies favourites seem to be linked to some story/rumour in the papers but I can not find any reference to a Klinsmann online link to any rumour.
Re: KOEMAN GONE
Mike can simply be some people (players) having more money than sense. A few bets of £100 at odds of 50/1 will send the markets tumbling, computer programmes spot trends, could also be a few bets from across the Atlantic with kilns an likely to get the sack or resign which could be seen as people are In The Know when the opposite is true. If it's not Pellegrini as he seems available and interested they had better be worth waiting for!

Re: KOEMAN GONE
I am wondering if Reed might be reluctant to offer the job to Pellegrini because MP wants a higher rate of pay than LR wants to hand over and/or MP is wanting a bigger say on transfers than LR wants
Re: KOEMAN GONE
I think on transfers. Betting markets do not know, pull now favourite on sky sports, kilinsman and FDB second favourites, cannot believe we will gnome Pellegrini so my money on him

Re: KOEMAN GONE
Keeping an open mind (as much as I can) till we see who is eventually appointed. Pellegrini's name could have attracted bigger named players but that wouldn't help a great deal if Reed wasn't prepared to pay out for them. It worried me a bit that Pellegrini might view us as a small job and not put everything into it..... and he looks almost as tired as I feel!!

Re: KOEMAN GONE
Well pretty sure it will be Puel now, Pellegrini, Garcia, Emery would all have made a real statement about intentions. The fact Mane seems on his way to Liverpool says everything about Reed. He is happy for the club to be a selling club never challenging for top 4 or trophies so he can stay a big wig in a small team. If they sell Mane, Pelle and Tadic then my last season as ST holder.

Re: KOEMAN GONE
If we were to get £35m to £40m for Mane, then I think we'd be mugs to say no. But it would be stupid to let him go for less than £30m.
Re: KOEMAN GONE
If Deeney is worth £30 m apparently then Mane has to be £45m plus. The prices for strikers is daft but we don't have to sell so we hold out for silly money, which clubs will pay

Re: KOEMAN GONE
Who needs a new manager when we have Les Reed in charge, signed Redmond, negotiating sale of Mane, and probably Pelle and Tadic. Just need mesuer Puel as the puppet for Reed to stick his hands up his ***e and pull the strings and we will be fine. My bitterness to Koeman is receding by the day as can see what he was fighting against. Yes he has made a shed load of money but with his ego, and he has achieved far more than Reed ever has, was never going to sit alongside Reed

Re: KOEMAN GONE
Another twist coming? Puel has eased out a little in the betting......while moving in to second favourite at around 5-2 or 3-1 is........ Ryan Giggs
Re: KOEMAN GONE
Just bookies tempting a few more punters to have a go, Totesport still have it suspended, skybet Puel is 1/4. Giggs needs to go to a championship side and prove his ability to manage, Notts Forest would be obvious choice but think the owner is a bit of a challenge but if he did would be interesting was would bring Silva into equation who is expected to go to Forest

Re: KOEMAN GONE
Looks like Mane deal done for £30 m, under valued in today's market and stupid haste in which to seal a deal. We had no reason to rush, held all the cards, 2 year contract, other clubs will have interest when their deals don't happen so a bidding war, so incomprehensible to have rushed the deal. Another fine act by megalomaniac Reed, he might not rule the world yet but he certainly rules at St Mary's, unfortunately.
