Southampton News so far:

Owen or no Owen? that the main transfer news going around the South Coast atm, personally, i can't see it happening as many have said, a prem team like Everton or Villa will be in for him and Brighton say they have all but signed him? i don't think so.

Neil Danns of Palace is in talks with Saints and has already meet the team at Marchwood. Alan Smith on the other hand, is intrested in joining Saints and currently Newcastle are talking to Southampton about a fee. Other mids that have been linked are Brian Stock of Doncaster? Can't see happening now simply because he was one of Pardew's targets not Adkins so that rumour is currently not that strong. Josh Wright who has left Scunny wants to join up with Adkins again and believe that he is having talks with the club.

Defenders? the main target atm is Sean St Ledger of Preston, like Danns, he has been down to Marchwood and has already agreed terms with the club but yet a fee is to be agreed with Preston.

Finally, many fans want Bart to be number one as Davis is getting on but imo he still got what it takes. However, Smithies of Huddersfield is being linked IF Huddersfield are not promoted. The other goalkeeper that is being mentioned is Murphy who again has left Scunny the other week."

Be glad when we get to end of the month, players get back from their hols and those who have been living off their previous clubs pay will sign for new clubs and we will see some activity.

Love to know who we are signing Herrera from because he is reported to be signing for his hometown club Atletico Bilbao on july 1st from Zaragoza.

Lee Peltier might be an interesting addition if it came about. Pilkington as well though can't see the Terriers letting both go cheaply as like us they are not short of money.

Jack Cork will sign after agreeing terms at the England under21s game at Southampton, he has been given till the end of the week.
Anthony Pilkington has the decision between Southampton or Norwich.
If saints can't sign Pilkington they could turn their attention to James Henry but Cortese wants a foreign midfielder.
Lukas Jutweikzc will sign after Southampton agreed a fee with Coventry it MiGHT involve a part exchange with Danny seaborne.
Adkins is also in the market for a centre back and a full back, John Arne Riise and other players in Serie A have been mentioned with Cortese's Italian contacts.

Danny seaborne looks set to leave if saints sign a centre back, he could be involved in the part exchange for Jutwiekzc or Millwall and Burnley could be interested.
Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana recently signed long term deals so any club that thinks they are signing them are talking BS.
Jason Puncheon - we don't want him, he wants to go, Newcastle could be a possible destination.
