Re: Are Pompey on the brink?
No, as for starters they'll still have a transfer embargo in place.

Re: Are Pompey on the brink?
As I sang to the oiks back in february
won't beat the taxman, no you won't beat the taxman,
you won't beat the taxman, no you won't beat the taxman
17 point deduction on the way with a bit of luck. Bearing in mind what Leeds and Bournemouth went through the least they should get in view of all the dodgy dealings

That turd still won't flush away. The HMRC have lost the appeal, so the skates are still with us and can continue to take the piss.

They survive for now, but I do fancy them to get relegated again this year if they last the season.

Re: Are Pompey on the brink?
It'd be nice to pass them on our way up and their way down. That'd take some of the sting out of recent results against them and the fact that just recently it's been Cheats 2 - Justice 0.

Re: Are Pompey on the brink?
I may be called dumb but I would much rather that they stay where they are. Then we can beat them twice next season.

Not dumb as I can understand the pleasure of beating them but I would prefer us up them down and we play them in the cup and thrash them.
Without doubt they are the most corrupt football club in the land and just proves how useless the laws are that they got away with the scam. Still their "new" owner will make his money and then flog the crap that's left so the circus will just continue.
looking forward to twitchy, Mandolin and storryteller getting done in court, that might shed some more light and if HMRC finally win their battle against football clubs over image rights they will go back for retrospective payment, which they can do and put the Pikeys back in Admin!

This.
Hopefully justice will finally prevail - eventually - and the pikey hordes get put back in their place which is below us. Ok, I admit that football is about fourth or fifth in my list of interests and normally this wouldn't bother me if it were any other club but, being a Saints fan apart, there's something about the pikey skates that really annoys the hell out of me, as well as their antagonistic 'scummer' insults, the West Brom crap in 2005 and so on. That's why I was hoping the plug would get pulled on them.

Re: Are Pompey on the brink?
Three weeks ago, John Utaka said: 'I want to set the record straight after hearing a few rumours - I'm NOT moving to Turkish club Konyaspor, my heart is firmly with Portsmouth FC.'
Despite Utaka's deep rooted love of Portsmouth he has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the French outfit, Montpellier HSC.
Rats and ships perhaps

Re: Are Pompey on the brink?
Another big wage packet off their wage bill. Doubt that they will have got much from Montpelier.
Re: Are Pompey on the brink?
Just getting off their wage bill will be good news for them and they could probably afford 5 loans player salaries if they didn't have so many already!!
