Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
If we have to win just one thing this season, I want it to be this match. I want us to f*ck the Skates over. 1-0, 5-0, I don't care. I want revenge for that shite in 2005.
I'll gladly pass up promotion (although that would be a bonus) and even the JPT if it meant we beat them.

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
If you were to visit my site later you would see for yourself Digger. The skates have never forgiven us for 27 years of supremacy. There are a hell of a lot that leterally hate us. when we nearly died last year they were openly rejoicing.
Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
I can understand rivalry and stuff , but i could never want to see a club go under.
We had it in 1986 , and (of all clubs) it was Hartlepool who came to our aid.
They let us use their ground for "home" matches , and i must admit we'd have gone if it wasn't for them.
Before i came on this site , i wouldn't really have given a second thought to a Southampton/Portsmouth match , but i must admit i hope it's on telly.
I will , of course , be rooting for Southampton.

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
Bound to be on TV, which will actually generate payment of £200k to each side, full gate at St Marys will also generate about far more than skates got from 2 home games, total 20000, total disgrace. Could be ironic but playing us may keep them solvent for a few more weeks!
Hope we absolutely stuff them and are the final nail in their coffin, though HRMC may beat us to that!!!
with Hammond and Schneiderlin back by then will have a decent midfield to go with Lambert and Barnard up front,COYRs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
Pompey could be gone by the time of our match. they have no hope of survival without money and their owner appears unable to find any. A player sale is probably their only answer. Which ever occurs I fully expect the Super Reds to be in the draw for the 6th round and hoping for another home tie.

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
Should be a fantastic atmosphere. My worry is that there could be serious crowd trouble. PLEASE DON'T LET SAINTS BE PENALISED, WE DON'T WANT ANOTHER POINTS DEDUCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
Fantastic draw. What an atmosphere there will be on the day.I really think we can beat them at St Marys.I just hope that the game goes by relatively trouble free,However I feel that maybe to much to ask for due to some of the morons who surround both our clubs.Lets hope the Majority of both clubs fans get a fantastic day out and that Pompey fans go home beaten by a better team, but safe& sound.

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
On Pompey OS this morning:
Tickets for Pompey’s FA Cup fifth round clash with Southampton at St Mary’s have sold out.
Seats went on sale to season ticket holders this morning and were snapped up within a few hours of the ticket office opening.
Some supporters were so desperate for a ticket that they camped out overnight in Anson Road.
Pompey will be backed by 4,000 fans for the match which kicks-off at 12.30pm on Saturday, February 13.

You are getting your act together but you'll see on Saturday that youve still got a long long way to go. Pompey will win by at least 3 goals.

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
Well, you are - at best - a crap Premier League team, but you're still Premier League so I would expect you to beat us.However, your club's in a right mess and in the cup anything can happen so you aren't going to have an easy game. I sincerely hope we beat you but won't be too upset if we don't. Having said that, if Saints play as well as we know they can I wouldn't be at all surprised if we do turn you over.

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
Not only are you a poor Premier league team but you seem to have doubts about some of your players being fit and available for this game.
J Utaka Hamstring Injury no return date
A Mokoena Knee Injury no return date
T Smith Groin Strain no return date
H Hreidarsson Calf/Shin Injury 13th Feb 10
P Bouba Diop Hamstring Injury no return date

And Rocha out as well with a suspension. Looking good!
Boeteng might also be out which is possibly the best news of all.

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
You go on their site as long as they have paid up to date and they like us give a run down of those out injured.
They may be adding a couple but with the two sold I do fancy our chances as long as we are ready from the off.

Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
Now the question remains as to who would we change for the Pompey game? Is Thomas likely to go OTT again and get himself sent off? Have we anybody from the spares who is big and strong enough to stop the physical nature of the blue brigade?
Re: SAINTS V POMPEY
Not that we need another reason to beat the Sk8 scum, but here's another anyway: some bollox from the Portsmuff News. Feck off Sk8s.

Stupid mongs.
Not worth a reply.
But if I did, I would get a red card and warned as to my future behaviour.
