Who would you start with and who would you have on the bench?

Before answering that I would like to see some of the never playeds play. Pulis and Gasmi could be useful additions and with luck Pulis has some of his dad's drive. Also can we name the players injured at the moment?

No one wants to take up the challenge so here goes.
Davis . . . . Straight forward choice
Cork . . . .Best option for the position
Lancashire . . . . Has to be given a chance
Pearce . . . . Fairly good in the air and quicker than Perry
Skacel . . . . Has done fairly well
Thomson . . . . We must use the wings to get to the byeline
Spiderman . . . . Class above most of our kids . . . . only concern is his habit of getting injured
Euell . . . . Has the drive needed to stop attacks and also get forward
Surman . . . . Has skill to take on defenders and is slightly stronger than Lallana
Robertson . . . . Has shown glimpses of effort and deserves a chance in my 4-4-2 system
Paterson . . . . Has shown he is willing to work and just needs a goal I feel to go to next level

Forecast . . . . picked just in front of Bialkowski who has never really recovered from his bad injury
James . . . . selected as cover in case of need to move Cork forward
Perry . . . . Picked to bolster defence if necessary to change formation
Lallana . . . . Need him but a chance of a rest with him available if needed
BWP . . . . Could be a player who is best as a sub

With that 16 I feel I could change the system according to the pattern of the match.

Now it is your turn to pick holes in my team.

Continuing with my thoughts. Our weakest area is I feel our two backs. Niether James or Skacel are natural backs and I am left wondering what is the problem with the backs played in the reserve matches. Some of our long time injured are nearing the first team and then we will hopefully se a slightly stronger side with more players playing in their natural positions.
