A much better performance and a much stronger finish. In fact Saints were good all the way through, although it's a pity the finishing isn't what it could be. Saints did well against a PL side, albeit one of the annoying crap PL sides who we really should be better than.
I'm not bothered we lost this one, as it's a cup competition we never do well in and it's an unwanted distraction. In my opinion, anyway.

It was a good performance but a real shame not to score with all the chances that we had. I would rather have lost 2-1 than 1-0 because we are struggling to score at the moment despite getting plenty of chances.

Puncheon 7 Created some good openings. Poor set piece delivery

Lallana 8 Brilliant game for Adam causing lots of problems against premier league defenders
Barnard 7 Another good game but still couldn't get a goal
Lambert 6 Showed some good touches early on but got dominated in the air by Knight and wasted a couple of free-kicks.
