Well a competent performance which brought another 3 points only marred by injuries to Lallana and Stevens, hopefully not out for to long as our midfield is beginning to get depleted. Dickson and Richardson started, Harding apparently a groin strain with Stevens in midfield. Saints started brightly knocking the ball around and for once took an early lead. Great ball from Lambert to Barnard who controlled well and sent in Guly who controlled the ball before coolly slotting past the goalie, (will complete tomorrow as have to get up early.

Dickson was outstanding and Barnard worked his socks off, Jaidi was immense at the back again and despite some decent approach play Charlton didnt trouble Kelvin very much, a few scrambles around the box but not many saves required of Kelvin

Davis 7 didnt have much to do all night but looked solid.
Dickson 9 took his chance of a start really well solid at the back and some great Bale like surges
Fonte 7 looked comfortable
Jaidi 8 another very commanding performance
Richardson 7 solid at back, Guly seemed to inhibit him going forward as no cover
Guly 6 hard to make him out, good goal and good ball for second but didnt work defensively which against better teams would be punished
Stevens 7 looked very comfortable in midfield, hope injury is not serious.
Hammond 6 improved in second half, good shot which lead to second goal
Lallana 7 so skilful but he should shoot earlier, after his efforts on saturday no surprised he felt stiffness, hope is fit he is vital
Lambert 7 good distribution played key role in first goal looked tired towards end
Barnard 8 great effort and strikers goal hope his court case keeps getting pushed back.

Subs

Chaplow 6 not the most skilful but does put himself about
Gobern 6 cant fault his effort but not sure he is good enough
Connolly 6 nice to see the new player get a run out. Northam sang He rose from the dead, he rose from the dead, David Connolly he rose from the dead. Bit cheeky but can understand the sentinment. Maybe he can be a hero and bag some key goals in final games
