3-0, a clean sheet, another three points and another place gained. Dire first half, excellent second half.

TRANMERE POST-MATCH REACTION Empty Re: TRANMERE POST-MATCH REACTION

Spot on underachiever. First half we were poor. Midfield were ineffective no supply to Connolly or Lambert not helped by yet again totally incompetant ref. Hey fregie if you thought Wiley wasnt fit come and have a look at the tub of lard we had today!

First half looked like been partying last night no passion. Fortunately Tranmere decided to get niggly and that seemed to fire up both the crowd and the team. Second half dont think Team talk was that great as to start with slow out of the blocks, again! Then out of blue a great goal. Credit to connolly as he had the ball at edge of box and looked to create opening to shoot. That pulled 3 Tranmere players to try and crowd him out and he released the ball to Harding who had time to steady himself before hitting a rocket from left hand side of box into far corner of goal. One up and that seemed to do the trick.

Had a couple of good corners where we might have scored, James did do something right, and as pressure built next corner Tranmere player tried to play Netball with blatant handball we could see from Northan end! Dont know why not sent off as Lambert right behind waiting for ball but never any doubt when Lambert ran up. Think goalie went wrong way to get out of the way he hit it so hard! Third goal was on the cards and 30 yard free kick from Lambert blasted into top corner, he hits the ball so hard!

Overall 3 goals, clean sheet but will need to improve midfield (Schneiderlin and Antonio) plus James had his usual poor game at RB. Good corners but he still cant tackle, terrible positioning and thionk Leeds will really hurt us if we stick with him at RB. Play in midfield instead of Antonio with Thomas at RB, unfortunatley dont think AP sees it that way.

Bart 6 didnt have a lot to do, couple of dodgy kicks but came for some crosses well
James 5 Has to be as a RB he is weak link, did take some decent corners
Jaidi 6 Impressive in the air, distribution poor but does the main job well
Perry 6 Goes about his job without much fuss
Harding 7 Good second half great goal
Lallana 7 not his best but as always worked his socks off
Hammond 8 Another all action display and behind most good things
Schneiderlin 5 Really not impressed by this guy despite what AP says, ineffective and taken off 2nd half
Antonio 5 Cant fault his effort but didnt show much skill today and their FB was as fast as him so no plan B
Connolly 7 Put in great amount of effort and his threat lead to the goal, Tranmere were worried about him
Lambert 9 Puts in the effort and two more goals, watch his second goal his deadball kicks make like Le Tiss
Subs
Wotton 6 steadied the ship when he came on to replace Schneiderlin, improved the midfield
Waigo 6 didnt get much chance one opp when through when dopey lino gave off side despite ball coming off Tranmere player!
Mellis only 5 mins didnt do much
