*Deep breath*

That was sh!t. Fourth defeat in a row. What has gone so badly wrong? I hope Adkins can sort this out. I'm getting tired of starting well, creating chances but not converting them, fading away and eventually losing to sh!t teams.

And before people say 'Norwich', I think they'd sorted themselves out before this stage.

You could. I am not surprised we lost (it doesn't mean I'm not pissed off because I am) because we're on a really bad streak and, being Saints, the New Manager Syndrome was never going to work for us as it only works against us. Only Saints could be installed as pre-season favourites, not just for promotion but the title itself, only to do a bloody good job of making a complete hash of it.

We are missing Antonio and Papa Waigo because they provided an element of unpredictability and pace, both qualities sadly lacking from the team now. We're creating little and not scoring from that little.

It sounds as if the team's confidence is shot so I hope that Adkins can put his sports psychology diploma to good use getting them to snap out of it.

In a way might be good as Adkins will see what he has at his disposal and see that the squad is not big enough with no competition. Hopefully Barnard will start on Saturday, I would also drop Puncheon and play Wotton to strengthen the midfield but make the full backs overlap more and get forward to support the attack.

Problem at the moment is starting 11 are guaranteed to start, makes releasing someone like Gillet and not bringing a replacement seem a dumb idea unless you count our "Itallian star"

Think next week we will see a couple of loan signings in, just hope a strong midfield player and a striker with a bit of pace so we can mix things up.

The team definitely needs some new faces, and if Adkins makes some shrewd loan signings it will help.

As Bob's Your Uncle so astutely predicted at the beginning of the week, Scunthorpe had a brilliant away win at Sheffield United and Saints lost............ scratch

It is almost a foegone conclusion that if we don't score early we won't score.

Thing I noticed last night was how Nigel had the two wide players playing wide as the game kicked off.

I agree though that Puncheon is not deserving of his place at the moment.

Last season, the opposition not scoring wasn't a problem as we'd go on and score 3, 4 or even 5. At the time I pointed out, as did others, that this is not ideal because, sooner or later, our goals would dry up and if our defence remained leaky we'd be in trouble, which is exactly what's happening now.
