HARTLEPOOL POST-MATCH REACTION Empty HARTLEPOOL POST-MATCH REACTION

A good win in adverse conditions, especially after a very dodgy start. Saints came back into the game and coming from behind to win shows character, that's a few times we've got something from a match after going behind...but those clean sheets, oh dear...they're still elusive.
However, we have to tighten things up and stop giving away goals. Hartlepool were up for it and gave us a hard time, but our defence is wobbly at times and that's costly as we found out recently. We have got to keep going now, it's very tight at the bottom, with the bottom side on 13 points and us on 16 with Brighton on 17, Leyton O and Brentford on 19, Carlisle on 20. A couple of wins and we'll be mid table.

Lallana would be man of the match for me.

Davis out until New Year with a torn groin. Dammit, he's a big miss but hopefully BB will prove himself.

Kelvin is out til new year

Another great quote by Merrington "You know, when the boy goes down, I don't know what the injury is. But I turn around and say, you know what, that looks like a groin injury."

You can't help but love old Dave, he's priceless, absolutely priceless. He may whisper, count his chickens and state the obvious, and there's all the Dave-isms but I do enjoy his commentating and he is so enthusiastic.

Bart apparently had a good few games for Barnsley so hopefully he will be in good form over the next set of games.

Excellent result in what was going to be tough, Hartlepool away midweek in November and match report indicates strong gusty wind. Going behind and coming back to win yet again shows the spirit in the team. Lallana looked like back on song Saturday unfortunately his goal scoring will be attracting looks from top clubs in championship as well as lower premiership clubs. Will be okay in Jan but think we will struggle to keep him if we dont make play offs which I think is going to very tough to achieve.

Just as well we did win with Wycombe and Tranmere winning, same as championship as most sides are capable of beating each other.

Keeping a clean sheet still eludes us and I would like to see the midfield strenghtened with a more defensive minded player. Opportunity for Bart now to show what he can do. Looked good before his injury and ceratinly against Charlton he looked quite confident.

Going to Northampton on Staurday so will get to see how he plays in what will be another battle with Northampton nothing to lose.
