Re: HUDDERSFIELD POST-MATCH REACTION
Almost perfect. An unbeatable back four, a dominant and creative midfield, width, pace, movement and a lot of hard work. Well done lads.

Re: HUDDERSFIELD POST-MATCH REACTION
Just absolutley brilliant, I have to say just about the best performance I have seen from a Saints team for some time. No weak links everyone on their game, total commitment yet excellent passing and attacking play
Davis 8 bet he couldnt believe he would have such a relatively easy game, made one superb point blank save in first half.
Otsemobor 9 Having failed to impress me previously really had an outstanding game and is forging great link with Puncheon.
Fonte 9 Superb again great partnership with Jaidi!
Jaidi 9 Superb again great partnership with Fonte!
Harding 9 excellent performance and likes having Lallana in front of him.
Puncheon 9 has brought, pace, skill and balance to the side
Hammond 9 non stop performance and good a goal with his head!
Schneiderlin 10 Not previously his greatest fan but finally convinced me tonight can be top class. him and Hammond totally in command
Lallana 9 what he is on but ran all night and caused all sorts of problems
Lambert 9 Non stop effort great first goal, so close with free kick, great save by goalie onto bar and just a handful all night.
Barnard 9 Again non stop effort and looks a penalty box striker just what we needed.
Subs
Waigo 8 super sub strikes again
Seaborne 7 gave Jaidi 10 minute rest
School kid 7 sorry cant remember name of 16 year old who in just 5 minutes showed some pace and skill as one for the future.
Fans 9 Great atmosphere an dlet Nicola know what they thought of only one alan pardew
Alan pardew 10 He has got to be so proud of his players tonight
Firts half after fairly even 15 minutes Saints really began to create chances Lambert and Barnard scoring with similar headers looping over goalie into net, Puncheon again cutting in on his left foot shot past goalie. Free kick from lambert tipped over, shot by Barnard close another great save by goalie and Lallana hits post with rebound. Could have gone in 5 nil at half time easily.
second half Huddersfield played the ball around a bit without threatening and we still had plenty of chances, must had had 8 or 9 corners missed a couple of good headers. Being a long suffering fan i thought if we could get to 75 minutes without conceding we would be fine. Got to 75 minutes, get a corner and 4 nil, Hammond header from good Puncheon corner. Then took of Barnard and papa came on and got through on goalie went to take round and goalie just got a touch but Papa kept control of ball turned and planted in back of net. Five nil and we played a Play Off team of the pitch. Brought the youngster on for last 5 minutes and he looked a midget on the pitch but charged one of their 6 foot defenders over and showed skill and pace and at last someone coming through from Academy
Huddersfield had tried to kick us out of the game early on, not out right dirty but made sure that saints players felt their challenges. Didnt put off saints who more than matched and their pace and skill was simply to much. Know not every game will go like this but was a great performance and full credit to Alan Pardew who sounded pretty happy tonight on Solent.

The lad is Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain. I have been in contact with him and I am hoping he may come on here and tell us how it felt.
Re: HUDDERSFIELD POST-MATCH REACTION
I thought the team were fantastic last night, some of the football was breathtaking,I haven't felt as good as this about Saints since the eighties.Everywhere you looked someone was playing well,I thought the partnership of Osemabor & Puncheon looks full of potential.Midfield allover we were strong, quality upfront & strength & Power at the back,Superb couple of games at St Marys.Cant wait to get back down there for Leeds & Swindon.Really pleased the fans are rallying to Pardew,If the owners keep faith with him I think,With their funding we will become one hell of a good club, who will be a match for anyone.

Re: HUDDERSFIELD POST-MATCH REACTION
If the team continue in that vein and overcome the small matter of being crap on the potato field pitches of a lot of the away grounds, we'll win the rest of our games.

Re: HUDDERSFIELD POST-MATCH REACTION
Tranmere have a Hartlepool type of pitch. Not as bad as Wycombe nor up to ours. Ball may bobble a bit at times but we should be ok.
