Swansea win again as do all the clubs around us today. How on earth do we stop them beating us on Saturday.

I'm going to the Demo so will be praying for a major miracle. Hope someone can sit at their computor. Looks as though there will be a lot of coverage with Itv, Solent and others taking note.

Saints Squad: (from) Davis, Bialkowski, Saeijs, Perry, Lancashire, James, Molyneux, Wotton, Gillett, Schneiderlin, Surman, Smith, Lallana, Pulis, Gasmi, McGoldrick, Euell, McLaggon, Wright-Phillips, Saganowski.

No obvious ommissions from the squad this time except Skacel but we know about him.

1-0 Saints. Saganowski danced round the keeper, not once, but twice to put Saints in front.

Why, oh why was he not in from the start of the season....?

2-2 FT.

We really need more than just a point each game. BUT, a great effort by the 10 men today. We could have lied down and died but didn't. Is that Wotte's doing?

Apoint will do I guess. Caught the after match talkin with David Armstrong and he felt we were extremely lucky to survive. Could our luck be changing for the better? Be good if it is because we haven't had much good luck this year.

great performance from saints. a really balanced team with every single player working their socks off. there are definitely things to improve, such as closing down higher up the pitch rather than on the edge of the box. at the end i was sure they would win it we were so deep. its a disappointment to only get a draw but on the balance of play definitely a fair result. the workrate was superb from everybody and i just wonder if every game would be like this if we still had pearson. for the first time this season we were actually organised and every player seemed to know exactly what their job was and kept to the game plan.

davis 7 mainly untroubled but made some good catches
james 5 poor today never attacked the first ball and always being taken back and forwards by the winger until he fell over from dizzyness
saeijs 8 very dominant in the air and no nonsense which is what we've been needed and he really suits perry as well
perry 6 another very dependable performance and got stuck in where it hurt
molyneux 6 better today but really stupid to get the second yellow to go off. i was very close to the first yellow and it was a great tackle, how the referee could see through the other's players legs to give him a yellow is beyond me?? their player was rolling around for hours as well (and also did a deliberate handball which the ref didnt even book him for)
gillett 8 another good performance i am still a big fan of gillett he made an amazing number of tackles and interception its just a shame his passing is not great especially late in the game when he gets mentally tired
wotton 8 easily his best performance for us. lead really well and always got stuck in and passing wasn't too bad. workrate exceptional
lallana 5 fairly quiet by his standards but not too bad
surman 7 fairy quiet at times but a good performance overall and a great pass for the second goal
mcgoldrick 6 didnt do too much but tried to hold the ball up and get the ball to the wing
saga 9 held the ball up really well with his strength and was always a threat. fantastic finish for the second goal. it just shows what we've been missing all this season - that bit of quality from great players. to have the vision to lob the keeper like that was fantastic, what would mcgoldrick have done from that position?? with 4 goals from 4 games, could saga have a chance of winning the championship player of the month award?

subs:
mcglaggon 6 added a slightly different threat
euell 6 didnt do too much but he's got something about him and you need players who can be solid and be leaders on the pitch
schneiderlin NA

The crowd came over load and clear on the radio. I didn't post much as I felt a bit of a prat talking to myself, it was just me online all afternoon. I had intended going to the demo, at least, but I had flu last week so didn't feel like doing anything, plus an emergency vet appointment for my dog this morning would have put the mockers on any plans to attend.

If the fact we have battled back in both games with Wotte in charge is down to him, then I'm happy.

I'll be here Tuesday night so you won't be feeling so lonely. That is if you can make it. The protest was well run and as I had hoped, the protesters took their good vibes for a job well done into the stadium with them. I am actually beginning to think that Wotte might be able to get our team winning before long. Tuesday would be a good time to start.

Maybe just the after effects of the march and the improved performance but I am feeling a bit more confident. A good game against Utd and 3 points could set us up for some revenge against Watford.

Me too. The game today reminded me of our 1-1 draw last season with Ipswich which was Pearson's first proper home game with us. Quite open and end to end with some really good individual performances and an obvious newly found passion and confidence.

I'm not sure what to expect from Sheff Utd. Without Beattie maybe they will be struglling to score goals and I think they have a few injury problems, so I'm confident of nicking it 2-1.
Watford score a lot but also concede a lot at home and therefore if we can keep it tight at the back as we did today (mostly) it's another very winnable game. Without Rasiak they will have lost a player who has been very important to them recently. It would be great to see another 6 or 7 goal thriller like the several which have already been seen at Vicarage Road this season but I hope we will be the one to win by the odd goal in 7! In Perry and Saeijs we have a central defensive partnering which I have a lot of confidence in but the full backs are still a problem. Molyneux has generally been poor so let's get Fish back because I thought he was decent earlier in the season and we have no choice but to sign a full back because James isn't good enough and is really slow which gets shown up against any winger with a bit of pace like today.

Also I was going to say that it seems likely Wright-phillips is off having been out of the squad for the last 2 matches...
