Ex Saints getting the goals elsewhere - Peter Crouch scoring for the skates, Kenwyne Jones for Sunderland, Dexter Blackstock for QPR, Stern John wins penalty for Bristol City....

Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST Commentary
Full time. Complete and utter GARBAGE!!! Fans are booing at the final whistle but no chance that arrogant sod Lowe will take any notice of it.
I don't care how Lowe apologists etc, dress it up, we are rubbish and relegation beckons. This is a total disaster with absolutely no sign at all of a recovery. Lowe and JP can take their 'Total Football' and drop it in the Solent as far as I am concerned.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST Commentary
For the first time I am starting to have a real fear of us not just dropping in, but staying in, the bottom 3!

Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST Commentary
I really do think that Poortvliet has got to go. The problem is, with his appalling track record of appointing unsuitable/downright crap managers (WGS excepted) who will Lowe inflict on us next - I have fears of a disastrous Steve Wigley style appointment of Mark Wotte and or Dave Hockaday as Lowe goes for the lazy/cheap option all the time. I know the club has very little money but if we get relegated then we WILL go into administration.
Lowe made a VERY big mistake in sacking Nigel Pearson, I don't have a crystal ball, obviously, but I daresay the club would not be in this position if the duck-hunting maniac hadn't got rid of him and got his Dutch yes-man in. As for Pearson's new club Leicester, they are top of League One with a 4-0 win today. Sickening.
The whole thing is, purely from a football perspective, totally demoralising and depressing.

Re: NOTTINGHAM FOREST Commentary
Today we did something that I just don't do. IWe left the ground 12 minutes before the end. The shambles on view was bad enough but when my 5 yo boy starts asking why we always lose with tears in his eyes I had no reply waiting for him.
The day began well enough with a nice journey with no major problems. We got our tickets and went to the Chapel Arms to meet with Vegas.Graham our 5yo then began helping dish out some of our cards, He was buzzing and really was a happy little chap.
Just before the game started we went into the Northam end ready to watch us win a game of football. The game started evenly enough but gradually Forest started to gain the upper hand. Again and again our pretty football was stopped short of a serious threat. Forest missed a sitter more through luck than judgement and we hit a post with the only shot of note we had. Then as the half was drawing to a close Forest scored with a soft goal. They were given a free kick which looked harsh and from the kick the ball was headed home past Davis.
The second half was worse than the first. No matter how much we huffed and puffed we have nobody able to feed our strikers with a ball good enough for them to even take a shot let alone score. Even if we do make a half chance we are to scared to shoot and just try to pass. The crowd started calling for BWP and he duly appeared to replace McGoalless. The substitution gave us the biggest round of applause for the day. No noticable improvement manifested itself and when Forest scored with a chip to go 2 up the game was over.
We went down the other end but Euell shot tamely into the side netting and we left.
We left early after my son asked me such a poignant question and the walk to the car was very miserable. I cheered him up a little as we sped away from the ground area by promising to stop so he could buy some sweets. This we duly did and by the time we arrived home I had begun preparing him for our next visit. How long it will be before we go I have no idea. I am not prepared to upset him more by making him watch our team fail so miserably to perform. When this will be I feel could be a long long time away.
So all in all another bad day at the races. Nothing of note to report that could bolster our hopes for the forseeable future. Depressing it may sound but believe me depressed is how all Saints supporters at the game must be feeling. Our hope now really is on the players coming back from injury. Spiderman is missed badly every time he is injured. Lancashire sat on the bench forlornly and must wonder what he has to get a game. Forest are no great shakes but they made us look poor. We need more muscle and we need it now or I fear for the worse.
