I think so Mike thought they tend to play better away from home. Unfortunately Villa had a stroll mid week against Liverpool kids so no tiredness for them and will be confident even though we probably could have beaten that Liverpool team. Would be happy with a draw but see a 2 - 0 defeat. If he sticks with 3 wide players and Ings starting then he should be sacked regardless, a dumb formation with the players we have.

An excellent result in the end. More is required however.

Great result and seemingly a much better performance. Fortunately with Djenepo and Boufal injured he couldn’t start 3 wide players. Ings again on the score sheet, Stephens improving, would still like to see him alongside Yoshida. Hojberg missed another open goal to have put the game to bed when 3-1 up. Need to get something if possible at Chelsea and try to start winning at home. Brighton and Bournemouth are 2 teams we could drag into the relegation battle. So some hope, maybe will persuade Gao to improve the squad in January.

Not sure how willing Gao will be to open his wallet in January. If the team get points from the next 3 games I have a feeling he will think he doesn't need to buy.
