AWAY TO CHELSEA
Before the Man City game I rashly declared that Saints would not lose both the City and Chelsea games. Sad to say, I think I got that wrong..... more likely to get well thumped, maybe 4-0 or 5-0

Cant see anything other than a 3 - 0 defeat

Re: AWAY TO CHELSEA
Although we slipped into the bottom 3 a good result and think will be a timely boost to morale. Surprised to see Cedric play but think it does show that even if he hasn't been at his best he is our best RB at the moment even if played at LB! Gunn did well a decent block with his face, but stood up well, and seemed to be comfortable handling from the few highlights I saw. Not much as an attacking force but to be expected.
I think a few will be rested against Derby, another chance for Long and Austin to play and keep Ings for the league games. Stephens to come in for Yoshida who will be away now for Asian cup and would expect a couple of youngster to feature

Re: AWAY TO CHELSEA
So my vibes before the Man City game that Saints would not lose against both City and Chelsea proved correct!!
Good comments on Sky about Saints' performance.... specially Gunn and Valery. They rated Valery as one of the best in that position in the League!!
Disappointing to be back in the bottom 3.....but on the positive side, we are only 2 games into the second half of the season and I think we have already completed our quota of games against City and Chelsea, got to be a good thing.
