Re: CHINA IN MY HAND??
Well I hope not, liebherr family have been brilliant for the club and this group do not seem to be major players in bringing in investment. Selling our best players each season is frustrating but selling them because we are successful is much better than selling as cannot afford them due to relegation.
Plus if Hull going for £130m the value of our squad, structure, fan base, Europe should mean at least £300m, at the price might be to tempting for Katrina

Re: CHINA IN MY HAND??
Well not a complete takeover and a long way to go, perhaps we will become a feeder club for top Chinese clubs, that will hack of Liverpool who will have to go elsewhere to buy players

Re: CHINA IN MY HAND??
Not a particularly good article, "her fathers folly"? Not sure how much the club is now valued at but a lot more than what Markus bought us for and while I don't believe he bought us to make money it has proved to be a good investment. I also don't think her fault our strikers, apart for Gabby, need 10 attempts to score.I also think despite her current lack of interest, more I am sure because she is busy with other business activity, we are in a stable financial position and I am she is convinced yet about Lander, which shows she still genuinely wants to do what is best for the club and not just get rid of the club.

Still don't think that is enough for the club but get the feeling that Katarina will sell rather than have the club for another season. Worried about the Chinese in that they do not have any football history so can expect turnover of managers and selling of players, so not much difference to last few years then really!

Re: CHINA IN MY HAND??
Maybe if they get Saints cheap, they will feel they can invest more in players??
Re: CHINA IN MY HAND??
good and bad news. I was never certain they really had the money to invest as opposed looking to sell and take put cash but also means the uncertainty goes on, will not be any transfer money to spend other than from sales which is not good news.
Players we could release and not hurt the team
Martina
Reed
JRod
Tadic (cash in now if he wants out and hope Boufal comes good)
Gardos
Isgrove
Taylor
and from the coaching staff Black.
If we move them on I wouldn't worry about spending to much, a decent DM to support Romeau, but doubt Puel will buy one, look for a youngster to be Davis replacement for 12 months time. Do need a striker as well though Gallagaher may be an option. I would also keep Classie as think a good player but if Puel is not going to play him probably will look to go
What I don't want to see if Virgil, or Cedric sold, Bertrand I am probably less worried about as think McQueen can step up. Would not be surprised to see Long go as think he is fed up with Puel and cannot stand Black

will wait and see what happens. was also supposed to be an American group interested and wonder if that is the preferred bidder from Ralphs position. Don't think Lander sounds to good if scrabbling to raise the cash

Re: CHINA IN MY HAND??
Agree, if the club is to change hands please let it be to someone with money to splash out!!

Personally in view of doubts I would rather pull the deal but its a little surprising that Premier league have allowed plenty of other dodgy owners in the past, how come when saints come along they want to block.

See Gareth Rogers has left as CEO for "new opportunities", linked to takeover maybe or Reed just increasing his stranglehold on the club, expect a Reed puppet to be annointed by Sir Les

Re: CHINA IN MY HAND??
well it certainly looks like the only thing stopping this move going through is if the PL refuse the Fit and Proper test, which knowing them they will back down on. While I would be quite happy if they blocked the move suspect might be hard when the individual has not actually be convicted of anything. Then look at those clowns running west ham, now appears they are not paying much of the council tax, left to taxpayer. If ever there was a deal that needed investigating by the SFO, before May disbands them, then the sale of the Olympic Park is crying out to be looked at.
