Suddenly plenty of rumours that Man U are to go for Fonte. Surely we wouldn't let him go without getting new blood in first. The central defence looks threadbare as it is.

Deadline Day again. As Saints are apparently no longer planning to let JRod go out on loan, I imagine the talk of us planning to sign the striker Haller is wide of the mark.

I know Puel said a few days ago that a couple more signings were likely.....one must have been Boufal and I guess the other would have been Haller......which could well mean no more signings.

I suppose we might still be trying to get a right back so that Martino can join his buddy Koeman.... and I think we are still worryingly short of cover for central defence. Is there nobody useful who could play right back and central defence? I see Calum Chambers has signed on loan with Middlesbrough. Think that is a shame.

I would agree re chambers as could have covered rob and CB but guess would not have started with Cedric and Fonte and Virgil.

We don't do Transfer Day think Reed is a bit of a snob and he views beneath him. Don't think we will sign anyone which is disappointing. We are okay but a Cple of injuries and we will struggle as no depth, just pray Virgil stays fit.

Not too sure on the rules.....are loan deals still possible??
