AWAY TO TOTTENHAM AND TINO.......

A bit earlier than usual starting the thread for this week's game but I thought this was quite an interesting read.....

Yeah a good reed. Going to the game though usual idiots for planning, as well as us kicking of at 2 so are Chelsea v Arsenal and Wham are at home to QPR at 4!

Disappointing game and disappointing result. Arguably did enough to get a point but didn't play that well and can't see Tottenham doing well either on this form. We had enough chances to get the all important goal but Pelle was off the boil, Mane missed a sitter and unlucky with a shot in first half which hit Naughton and bounced away, Wanyama had a decent shot well saved , Morgan nearly got on the end of a chance.

Tottenham were quite physical another ref would have booked more and Kaboul got away with bringing down Mane as last player, we were opposite end but if a foul then had to be a red card, giving a yellow was a cop out.

Something missing to day and think playing Tadic, Pelle and Mane hurts the midfield and mean Schneiderlin sits back more. Mane was quite poor second half kept drifting inside yet the times saints had success was getting down the flanks but that was primarily left to Bertrand


Forster 6 not a lot to do but fumbled 2 easy shots dropped an easy cross for a corner which is a worry, needs to start dominating his box.
Cline 6 didn't have a good game defensively , looked like didn't want to get hurt before England game
Toby 6 again didn't look that comfortable, Gardo might challenge him
Fonte 6 as captain needs to give a few kick up backside on the pitch
Bertrand 8 got forward well and his cross late on should have lead to the equaliser
Davis 6 worked hard but lacking in attack, had great chance second half with Tadic free but for some reason took far to long and lost chance.
Schneiderlin 6 okay not as good as previous games
Wanyama 7 got through a lot of work and at least won some tackle and got stuck in, odd he was subbed
Mane 5 unlucky not to score early on then missed sitter towards the end, falls over to easily and drifts inside far to much.
Tadic 6 flashes but a bit lightweight against a physical side.
Pelle 5 didn't do much but service was pretty poor and Mane seemed to get in the way.

Subs Long 6 did okay when he came on, set up lay off to Bertrand for the chance Mane should have finished

Don't understand why Cork wasn't brought on for Mane which would have allowed Schneiderlin to get forward more. What's disappointing is Forster hardly had a shot to save in the second half, and just feel threw away at least a point with a fairly lack lustre display

well I think a fair assessment, sometime though others see the game differently so good to know not to "biased" when watching players. A couple of mates are Corkies fans, he can do nothing wrong and anti Wanyama picking up on any mistake. for me just try and see who is playing well.

say for QPR game son text me to say he thought Pelle was rubbish, I text back, (he was in Itchen stand) his hold up play and control was good with no service. Eventually gets the service and scores, son texts and say he is great!
