THE FINANCIAL SITUATION??

I had heard that the financial position was much worse than the £27m transfer debt mentioned previously, think the £30m on training ground was £15m loan from KL and then £15m overspend by Cortese so has to be repaid, so that would be nearly £60m. Plus we assumed the transfer debt was just Osvaldo and Ramerez but we also signed Lovren and Wanyama and wonder how much of that has still be paid.

I was told debt was £70m + which could see though set against Sky money of £60m would have meant £10m debt to come off the sales of £70m. On that basis would only expect around £40m to spend and nearly £20m spent on Pelle and Tadic so expect only a couple of decent signings rest will be cheapies/loans.

IF and its a big IF with Tweedledee and Tweedledum in charge we sign Forster and a decent CH we just might be able to consolidate this season and have a base to operate for future years.

All this talk of FFP makes me wonder how the hell likes of Twitchy and Fat Sam continue to pay far more in bribes/salaries to sign players and not seem to worry about FFP, especially as I thought investment in facilities such as Training ground can be off set

The way things are going, we'd be wise to hang onto Billy Sharp, he'll be handy next year in the Championship.

Think you will be disappointed Mike, I reckon we might get 2 in at best and then a last day panic loan signing of someone who will probably play 20 minutes this season when we realise useless

I am a reasonable guy and I am willing to compromise. 3 signings? Any 2 of Rojo, Vlaar, Van Dijk and Kongolo plus a top finisher.

Oops I forgot about the keeper. Think I might be prepared to continue with Boruc anyway provided he promises to concentrate and not to make any more stupid gaffes.
