NEW CONTRACT FOR TINO??

Re: NEW CONTRACT FOR TINO??
Well I would be happy as clubs with stability tend to do better than clubs who keep changing managers and think most of the squad enjoy working with MP but think it might depend what other offers come his way

Then first thing he needs to sort, had heard that "informal discussions" had started. Would hope with league position pretty sorted now aim should be to have done and dusted by end of March

Re: NEW CONTRACT FOR TINO??
well the club either have to get sorted in next week or so or recognise that MP is off and sort out a replacement. Also think his agent is working overtime in generating stories to get best possible deal for his man.
If he is going and I know he has just signed an extension but think Eddie Howe at Bmouth could keep the momentum going and build on the young English mentality with manager as well as players. Has shown ability to take a team not winning and convert into a winning side, tactically smart, flexible and has good man management skills. Could he deliver at top level, I think so especially with the support of a club like saints. wonder if Bmouth were getting twitchy and offered the 2 year extension, if nothing else to up the compensation payment?
Still would prefer MP to stay but as we have see with Cortese its not about one man but about the club.

Re: NEW CONTRACT FOR TINO??
Oh I think Howe is definitely better than Nigel. Listen to Solent a bit and often here on radio and clearly has a good tactical brain and is also honest and straight forward, Nigel could say in 30 words what we cold say in 2! Howe seems to be able to play different formations and change things in a game, something I felt Adkins was not so good at.
Players are also highly complimentary about him in terms of developing them, work on the training ground and building confidence

Re: NEW CONTRACT FOR TINO??
problem is club cannot just leave it drag on and then find MP decides he is not keen on the "new team" and packs bags and goes. That will leave team in total disarray and any plans for new signings on hold for a new guy, get the impression he still doesn't trust the new owners will deliver what he wants. As such I think the club will start seriously looking for a replacement, cannot afford not to now.

Re: NEW CONTRACT FOR TINO??
usual poor lazy journalism, don't see anything in this, Di Matteo maybe but probably a German if Poch goes as Katrina will be happy with that. Still waiting on the appointment of Director of football and that may well influence any decision IF Poch leaves

Re: NEW CONTRACT FOR TINO??
Mate's contact had said at weekend that meeting was planned for today but that was apparently disrupted by World Cup news and supposedly bids received. Think will all come down to what funds are available to MP whether he stays as opposed his salary

in London today for work and Evening Standard saying will cost Spuds £4m if they want to sign MP and his backroom staff, 2 for him and 2 for the others but don't suppose that will put of Levy.
