Would presumably be seen as a safe pair of hands for the short term, has the experience from Blackburn and also a saints fan. Whether he would have the same vision drive that Cortese had is another matter and think Cortese showed you do not need experience of running a football club to be successful. still would rather Williams than a German banker!

Some quite positive things with this, clearly Katarina trusts him and that is crucial and with her saying she is staying on the board this should bring some assurances for the longer term. looks quite good to me

Every Saints fan should listen to this interview with Ralph Krueger on Canadian radio this week. The Club are bringing in a Director of Football, also they have interviews with 3 major sponsors who want to pump prime the Club to the Champions League places (in time). He has his head screwed firmly on.

I hope RK is serious in intending to hold on to our players.......in recent days there has been talk of moves for Lallana, Shaw, Schneiderlin, Ramirez, Rodriguez, Chambers and Gallagher (and Tino)...........omg, will we have enough players left to raise a team next season??

Credit to Cortese as most are on long contracts so the approach is quite simple, unless a silly offer (£30m for Luke, or Adam, £25m for anyone else) then just say no.

I don't think many will go, possibly Shaw but think many will stay for at least another season to see what happens in terms of investment etc. Would help though if they sort out MP's contract
