Either a Stoke win or a draw, not a Sunderland win. If Sunderland do not win when we go that on Sunday if we win then we will be safe, They are 2 points behind us so want them to stay there. They are away at Spurs last game so would not want to rely on that game as we should have beaten spurs and if they cannot win the Champions league place, and don't think they will they won't bother.
Stoke play spurs next so would rather they win and are safe for when they come to play us.
Wigan game is a no brainer, Swansea to win but a draw wouldn't be a bad result as would expect Arsenal to beat them as needing the points and the goal difference is still in our favour. For me we just need to treat Sunday like a cup final and win

Sunderland-Stoke ends in a draw, could have been worse. Now for Wigan's match with Swansea, hoping not a home win which would leave us just 1 point above the relegation places.

Like you Mike hoping that Swansea will manage at least a draw. That would leave Wigan 3 points behind and if Arsenal beat them on Sunday would mean we may not even need another point though would much prefer we win on Sunday. Sunderland result was okay plus they now have another player suspended. Clearly will play with passion with Di canio so we will have to match that but think we are capable of winning there.

And they did! Thank you Swansea. Win on Sunday or the following Sunday and we are safe. We only need one win (although 2 draws will do it).

Phew, stopped checking on internet when Wigan went 1 up on stroke of half time, just thought wasn't going to be especially as no Michu for Swansea so delighted to see the final result.
Now come on saints finish the job and get 3 points on Sunday,
