A MASSACRE IS COMING??

I may have got it all wrong but it seems to me, who never gets to see a game these days, that apart from a practically non-existant defence, the main reason for Saints' troubles on the field is their failure to take chances. It looks as though they have numerous goal efforts but the finishing constantly lets them down.

Is it on the cards that it may all click in a match soon.....and we will net all our chances and give some unfortunate team a 7 or 8 goal hiding????

Well, I can have sweet dreams fantasising of it anyway.........

I think it's more likely us to be on the recieving end of a massacre. Jan worries me, I've got no confidence in him unfortunately

Anyway a massive win for our young lads probably wouldnt do them any favours. They would be disastrously over-confident and lose the next half-dozen games.... :x

Ok folks. I might get shot down after the next game but, if we carry on as in our last 6 games we will be safe. The team will have a further years experience and will thus be ready to tango. That is if we are able to keep the best of our players. We have survived worst beatings than this and the game has to be put into perspective.
We should have been a goal up before Watford scored. Who knows whether going a goal down would have changed the way the game continued.
Likewise we should have drawn level with the second and again that could have changed the final outcome. It didn't and we paid the price for missing two penalties.
The defence was a shambles but we were trying to claw our way back into the game. We became streyched and were unable to protect our defence adequately. The biggest problem is that we are not a big strong team and miss a couple of our players badly.
We will undoubtedly get more games like this but we will win enough to survive. With the football we play we need a natural goal scorer and the best one we have must be John. Sheffiekd Utd tomorrow and this will be difficult. I feel slightly more confident though that we will at last get a few changes in the team. A bit of muscle added to our guile could well mean a surprise is in store. I BLOODY HOPE SO.

Knowing the Saints it will either be a massive defeat or a stunning win tomorrow. Trouble is, Jan Poortvliet has to stop playing just one striker up front - it doesn't work, but will he? And sort out that alarmingly leaky defence too.

Have faith I tell you.....

Well, I always hope for the best, even if I'm not expecting it...

Two days after tha debacle and my son still went to bed happy to be a Saints supporter. He has no fear of losing. He also insists that we will do it again. He is not afraid hence I am not afraid.

This is not totally true as I quiver in fear every time I see our drfence under attack. My son is reminding me how I used to feel when my dad took me to a game. My love affair is still running. The club will survive. My son and others like him say so.

I fear Sheffield United are gonna be far too strong for us, infact I wouldn't be surprised at another 3-0 defeat .
Fingers crossed that we pull something out of the bag but I just can't see it.
