Any In Coming activity?

Well a few out and possibly Charlie Austin going as well this week. My main worry is about the RB position as Valaray and Ramsey is not a combination I would want to have for the rest of the season, think some forget we are only 3 points above relegation zone. Hoping their might be some incoming activity this week that has been kept quiet but if there is then hope its a RB. Would like a striker as well but if they want to wait for summer I think that will be okay, if we don't concede then we will win a few games with Ings/Redmond and midfield chipping in. At least the wage bill has gone down, I reckon around £250k A WEEK in Salaries gone with Gabba, Hoedt, Cedric, Davis and Austin if he goes

Certainly some rumours flying around but get the impression will not be willing to meet fees asked. I think a new face or two would help avoid complacency at least.

Well nearly a year on and certainly deja vu, looks like no signings which is another gamble as so tight this year and so far we have been lucky with injuries which can quickly change. What hasn't changed is Ralph saying we were short in FB position, that was true when he said it and still the case. Wish we would get into the mindset that not all January signings need be panic buys. We know Cedric and Bertrand are going to leave in the summer, getting a RB for Cedric in now would not disrupt the squad mentality, easier to fit in a new player now then bringing in 4 or 5 in the summer. Reality is Gao has no interest in spending any money and his only ambition is staying in PL even if just 17th. Frustrating as a couple of signings now to strengthen the squad, RB and CM, would not only mean we are covered for injuries and a better chance of survival but could actually press on for a top 8 finish and reduce the transfer activity in the summer, which could be hampered if Gao is looking to sell.

Poor window, allowing Cedric to leave for a derisory amount was just dumb when we are short at full backs, just shows how GAO has no money and no interest in taking the club forward. Ralph will probably go in the summer and they will look for a Pellegrino type, not good enough but will do as told. Yoshida gone as well on loan
