VEGARD FORREN?????

Just my thoughts....and I haven't even heard a rumour.......but I suppose there is no chance he could be coming here?

Bet it will be Everton, they really do their business very professionally and seem to know who they want and go and get.

Despite NC trying to keep everything close to his chest rumours eventually get out and there has not been a sniff about this player so convinced not us, unfortunately.

Hmmm.....on Twitter a Norwegian guy has tweeted this afternoon.....

Rumours tells that Vegard Forren has now signed Southampton and is celebrating it.

Going by recent form, I do not believe anything until Saints announce it officially.

Looks like Fulham in the lead, they are in danger of losing Haageland who is out of contract at end of season and not signed a new deal so looks like they are going for a replacement.

Lots of speculation as to the English club Molde are in talks with over Vegard Forren. Reportedly it's Fulham but I'm told it probably isn't.

Unfortunately he does not play for an Italian club and think Cortese wants Astori, would prefer Forren as scandanavian players

No think it is Astori only which for me is wrong choice at over double the money and likely the transfer will drag on as looks like Agent is touting for offers from other clubs. Afraid its that Italian connection again

looks like he signing for Liverpool, disappointing decent player at half the price of Astori and dont have to deal with the Italians and their complicated transfers

Beeing a Norwegian I know a lot about Forren.
He would be a top signing. Modern, young and technical centre defender with a very good left foot, both passing and shooting. He has grown very much the two last years under the leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in Molde FK.
Acording to Norwegian media he has traveled to Manchester speaking with some clubs, Saints are understood to be nearest an agreement with his club.
The latest important matches for our national team he have played with Habgeland in central defence doing a very good job.

Vegard Forren has had a change of heart. Southampton have made a firm bid. He wants 1st team football so is heading south for talks now.
Trial had been planned at Liverpool but not likely now.
He stayed in Liverpool last night but Saints made firm bid so he's now headed south to have talks there.

He'll be an excellent signing, if it happens.

Not only that, it's good to see Saints able to hijack deals and take players from the likes of Liverpool, or at least attempt to. He also turned down FC Bruges, apparently, who are a decent club as well (yes, I know they're Belgian but have a good history) and who often get CL or Europa League football.
