Lambert to Stoke rumours

According to the BBC gossip page is a 'report' in the Sun that Stoke want Rickie Lambert in January and are willing to offer former Saint Kenwyne Jones as part of the deal. Assuming this isn't a case of 2+2=5, I think there'll be uproar. Firstly, Jones isn't as good and secondly Rickie Lambert is easily our best player.

Bit of lazy journo work, no chance of Jones coming back here though I can understand why they would want to offload him. waste of a talent, just a lazy individual who I think could have been as good as Drogba. They will be lucky to find a championship club willing to take.

Mind you if Rickie is not starting I can see him looking to move and couldnt blame him, message there Nigel start picking Rickie and let him play 90 minutes

Good. I'm pleased that Adkins has come out and stated that there is no intention to sell Lambert. It's better than silence, which would have just added to the speculation.
