AWAY TO STOKE

Gonna be tough as Stoke have been doing well.......

I'd be happy with a point from this one, as I can't see Saints getting all three. Very few teams go to Stoke and win, they are a frustrating side.

I actually fear this game though I said the other day about getting a point was a bit tongue in cheek.

With their physical side I can see Stoke dominating the game and can see us being on a bit of a hammering unless they go on the toot having put 3 past Liverpool.

I can see a 3 or 4 goal defeat unless we put some steel in the midfield such as Chaplow but cannot see that happening.

I hope we will put up a fight but my guess......Stoke 3 Saints 2

For some reason, 5-1 keeps popping into my head...and it's not to Saints.

I know I was expecting a hammering before the match but we could, and should, have had all three. We threw away a 3-1 lead.

It is frustrating and match reports indicates Guly had great chance when still 3 - 1 and couldnt get on target with goal at mercy. A point at Stoke beforehand would have been good but cant help feel Adkins didnt have the tactics to kill the game off, slow the pace, frustrate etc.

Watched MOTD, why if Cline was not fit did Adkins simply not play Richardson as right back? Instead he plays Yoshida out of position and brings in Hooiveld who looked awful again. Nowhere for second goal and while their third was a cracking shot Hooiveld is again caught ball watching and should have been closer to his player.

You read to much Nigel, Keep It Simple, right back for a right back, and would have thought this was the type of game Davis was made for yet dropped.

Also shows Kelvin's reactions look pretty slow, really should have stopped the second goal
