Re: BOBBY BALL.......ROCK ON BOBBY!!
From Wikipedia....
Bobby Ball (born 28 January 1944) is one half of the comedy double act Cannon and Ball, along with Tommy Cannon.
He married his first wife, Joan, in 1964, with whom he had two sons, Robert (born 1965) and Darren (born 1969), who are now a comedy double act in their own right, performing under their surname 'Harper'. Bobby and his first wife separated in 1970. He married his second wife, Yvonne, in 1972. They have a daughter, Joanne (born 1972) Ball and his wife live in Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire.
BOBBY WITH YVONNE AND JOANNE
Ball has been in show business with his comedy partner for 46 years, their prime time Saturday night television series, the Cannon and Ball Show, was one of LWT's most successful series, with consistently high viewing ratings for twelve years. They starred in the film 'The Boys in Blue' together in 1982 and guest starred in the Eric Sykes slapstick film, 'Mr H is Late' in 1988. Other notable guest appearances were 'the Kenny Everett Show' in 1982 and 'Shooting Stars' in 1996.
Their live shows and pantomimes have broken all box office records and continue to do so across the country.
Cannon and Ball appeared in the fifth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.
The pair are devout Christians and have published a book called Christianity for Beginners. Ball became a born-again Christian in 1986, as did Cannon in 1992, their conversion having a lot to do with the re-kindling of their broken friendship. They now regularly feature in their own gospel and "An audience with..." show in churches around the country.
Ball also created the BBC children's cartoon series Juniper Jungle. He starred in ITV's The Fattest Man in Britain in December 2009 and has made several guest appearances as 'Lenny' on 'Last of the Summer Wine'. In February 2010 he and his wife Yvonne appeared on All Star Mr and Mrs.
In 2011 he starred in the Sky1 comedy drama Mount Pleasant, playing Barry, the father of co-star Sally Lindsay's character, Lisa.
In 2012 he appeared alongside Tommy Cannon on the third celebrity series of Coach Trip.

Re: BOBBY BALL.......ROCK ON BOBBY!!
Thanks for doing this Bobby. I am pretty sure I saw you on stage (Cannon and Ball) at Blackpool in August 1978, the Nolan Sisters were on the bill. Or have I got that embarrassingly wrong?? (hope it wasn't Little and Large!)
Re: BOBBY BALL.......ROCK ON BOBBY!!
Hi Bobby,
You and Tommy Cannon are an inspired pairing, you work so well together. How did it come about that you teamed up? Were you looking for a partner or did you find each other by accident?

Re: BOBBY BALL.......ROCK ON BOBBY!!
I thought Mount Pleasant was a bit disappointing, to be honest, I felt it could somehow have been much better than it was. But having said that your character was certainly the best in the series! Can you tell us any stories about the making of the series? And is there to be another series?

Hi and thanks for doing this. You have been a fantastic entertainer for many years and I hope you will continue to entertain for many more. Have you planned a retirement at some time in the future....or do you just want to carry on for as long as you can?

Hi, does standing up in front of a live audience come easily and naturally to you or do you have to work hard at it and put on a front? And do you suffer from nerves?

There have been a number of top duos in competition with you and Tommy: including Morecambe and Wise, The Two Ronnies, Little and Large, Mike and Bernie Winters. Were you all on good terms or was there great rivalry? Or did you never meet??

Hi and thanks. I am guessing that Cannon and Ball are not your real names. Can you tell us your real names and why you chose Cannon and Ball as your stage names? Are there any nicknames that your friends have for you? Oh, and how did 'rock on Tommy' first become a catchphrase?

Hey Bobby! Am I right in saying that you appeared in the old Wheeltappers and Shunters TV programme? I loved that and Colin Crompton was terrific in his flat cap forever calling for order and talking about the committee! Happy memories.....

Hi great to see you here! My dad had your record Rock On Tommy and I still remember it now.....Do you remember at the end when you say "Do you think that bird fancies me Tommy?.... I'll go and ask her." It always made me laugh.
Can you tell us your favourite joke please??
