7 minutes left. I don't see us getting another goal, tbh.

Re: SFC'S COVENTRY COMMENTARY AND COMMENTS...
Torn apart by Coventry, that's how far we have come down. After cause for optimism in our last couple of games, it's back to the same old crap again. It really isn't good enough. When will Saints get their shit together?

We will get games like this but we can get revenge in a couple of weeks at home.
Re: SFC'S COVENTRY COMMENTARY AND COMMENTS...
Final whistle - thank god. Well, that was a load of crap. Let's hope we can return the favour and give Coventry a thumping at SMS in a few weeks.

Re: SFC'S COVENTRY COMMENTARY AND COMMENTS...
First goal should have been disallowed but Coventry missed a couple of good chances.

Graham my 5 year old is totally distraught. Sparkle has turned tv off in disgust at the poor performance.
Gillett return could be a positive.

Re: SFC'S COVENTRY COMMENTARY AND COMMENTS...
We were dire when defending. Too often our defence was left alone to cope. This was partly because they stayed too far back. We were just not playing as a single unit. The first half had hardly any points that could be picked to encourage. The second was far better in that we did seem to be getting somewhere. Coventrys last 2 goals were made to look better by our lack of cohesion. We attacked and they simply caught us cold. With half of our team pressing their penalty area we were over run by a team not much better than us.
Surman scored a good header from a fortuitous mistimed shot. We also had a couple of good chances to at least work their goalie but wasted them.As we pressed harder and subbed three players it looked momentarily as though we might glean something from the game. Coventry struck with a well made 4th and it was caused simply through naivity and inexperience. The main difference was Coventry played as a unit and we didn't.
We have shown that we can play so now it is back to the drawing board. Passes must improve as must the capability of the team to work as a unit. A lot of our attacks were too predictable and slow. The team played at times in a go slow motion as though they were unsure as to what to do next. Now our boys have to regroup and show the strength of character needed to stay on a slightly upward slope. The biggest disappointment for me was that we don't seem to have a good strong leader. Someone who can gee up the lads and get them playing. If we need anything from the transfer market it is a leader.
It is a young team though and we should expect a few more games like this. As we win some and lose others we will no doubt see more highs and lows. We are on a very exciting roller coaster ride and one that will hopefully leave us safely ensconced near the middle of the table.
Today we are down but I have no doubt that we will all be smiling soon. COYR
