Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
Oldham were blown away, nothing less. We're back to second, looking unstoppable and I hope we keep this up to the end of the season. What's so encouraging is not just the fabulous play but the fact that the goals are coming from a lot of different people. Usually there's one guy on fire with others chipping in now and then but goals are coming from all over the midfield as well as the strikers. Now, is anyone prepared to bet that we can, and might, score double figures in one game?

Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
Outstanding result and the fact that six different scorers really does emphasise NAs view about the team, even the subs are scoring. Only problem now is everyone will come to St Marys and shut up shop so cant expect to win 6 nil every game! Think before tonight we were averaging around 22 attempts on goal in each of last four games.
Still tonights result will have given Fergie something to think about!

Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
The BBC eventually got a report online:

I especially like that first line. May it be just one of many more 'laying waste to' performances.
Oldham 0 - 6 Southampton
Southampton produced a mouth-watering display as they laid waste to Oldham.
Alex Chamberlain opened the scoring from Rickie Lambert's cut-back, before Adam Lallana's 20-yard shot squirmed under Latics keeper Ben Amos.
The in-form Guly do Prado rifled in Lambert's cross and Richard Chaplow made it 4-0 in equally emphatic style.
Lambert finally got his goal as he calmly slotted in the fifth and Lee Barnard put the gloss on proceedings after rounding Amos and slotting home.

Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
Brighton fans are getting more than a bit worried, judging by the drivel posted on their board:

Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
It would be interesting to see inside NA's mind as Puncheon was arguably the best player against Blackpool but left out again.
Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
Puncheon was ill but will be back in the building on thursday.

You sure about that? It wasn't just an excuse for leaving him out? I read somewhere that although he played well on Saturday his attitude was not great and he did not seem part of the team.
