Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
Confidence is building now for the players and the fans. Didn't worry too much when Oldham pulled one back - thought we'd score another - couldn't have said that in the past few seasons!SaintMike wrote:Put it here........

Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
I really thought that we might get turned over today, or a point at best. So to go there and get another 3-1 win is excellent. I did think that they might get something from the game when they pulled a goal back and Saints got a little nervous, but the team have made great strides in recent weeks, are full of confidence and showed it by not collapsing and going on to get the third and then seeing the game out.
It is also good to see that AP is not afraid to substitute under-performers, such as Waigo who today wasn't at his best and whose error led to the Oldham goal. I think Schneiderlin also paid for his miss when substituted by Connolly, again it is good that AP went for attack rather than shutting up shop and probably inviting Oldham to come at us.
It is one target at a time. The minus points deficit is long gone, we are now off the bottom and now we need to keep up the momentum and the next target is to get out of the relegation zone. Onwards and upwards, as they say!

Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
Yes a great result especially as Oldham have been in form, 3 wins and 2 draws in last 5 so a very professional perfomance. Having listened to AP happy with result but disappointed that had not wrapped up in first half with so many chances and Schneiderlin should have made it 3 0 before Oldham scored.
Great that Connolly scored as builds his confidence and keeps the pressure on others, I still think a Lambert/Connolly partnership will be great to watch. Hammond has put in the effort lately so pleased he got a goal, from a James corner I nearly fainted!!
I thought before the game a minimum 4 points for Oldham and MK so well on way, would expect to push on and beat MK though suspect they will sit deep and make it hard for us so patience will be the key.
Time to sit back and enjoy a beer, looks like Button could start 6th on grid if it keeps raining in Brazil!!

Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
I fully expect to see a big gate next week as the feel good factor returns to SMS. A win would be further proof that we are on the way back. Whilst I am expecting a few reversals over the course of the season, I am quite happy to see us start the long climb back to the upper echelons of the football world.
Todays result has shown that the corner has been turned. We are nearly up with the pack at the foot of the table and soon we will be able to look below and see teams dropping away. It will still take a phenominal effort to reach the play-offs but it is still possible. While there is hope we will keep trying. You never know we might just make it and in some style too.

Re: OLDHAM POST-MATCH REACTION
Get a win at home on saturday and we will be on a roll that is gaining strength. Both SFC and Twizzle are looking forward to seeing the match. They are hoping the run is kept going as it will maybe mean another place gained. A good result yesterday and one that leads to more hope for the future. Or so he keeps saying. As T98 says daily another win to keep us rolling on is great.
