Re: NOTTS COUNTY POST-MATCH REACTION
That is just the sort of match we need to win if we are to go up, but for 68 minutes I thought we were going to c**k it up and I was about to post something on the 'Away to Notts County' thread about the much-vaunted 'New Manager Syndrome' not being a load of rubbish when it comes to Saints, when Barnard went down for the penalty which was converted.
First half sounded appalling and had me doubting our promotion credentials while the second half was much better. Now, if Saints cut out the one half good/one half crap nonsense and also cut out the headless chicken defending we'll be flying. The goals are beginning to come, and we are finally working out how to come from behind to win and about time.
One point behind Bournemouth now. It'll be nice to finally overhaul them.

Re: NOTTS COUNTY POST-MATCH REACTION
Good comeback to score 3 in second half but agree Nostromo need to sort out our first half perf away from home get behind to better sides than Notts C and will struggle like we did at Huddersfield.
Have to say though Adkins seems to be able to give good half time talks and uses his subs well, top marks to him.
Just 2 points off second place and chance and now look for a convincing win against Dag on Tues to keep that push towards the top.
Good to see Lambert, Barnard and Lallana all on score sheet.

Re: NOTTS COUNTY POST-MATCH REACTION
What a comeback after what felt like a very long first half for Saints. Listening to Solent it seemed a very dramatic game and I was ecstatic when we turned it around. Well done lads! 2 points off 2nd now puts into perspective much of the negativity from the early parts of the season. I was laughed at only a few weeks ago for maintaining that we would get automatic promotion and, while we obviously musn't get ahead of ourselves, we have made up the ground between us and the top teams since NA came in.

Re: NOTTS COUNTY POST-MATCH REACTION
'Softly, softly, catchy monkey', as the old expression goes. If Saints don't drop stupid points we can catch up with the likes of Brighton. They and Bournemouth, etc, have had storming starts to the season but I can't see them keeping their runs going and I hope we'll be in a position to overtake them when (not if) they slip up.

Should think there would be a decent sized crowd for Brighton's visit to St Marys in November.

Thats what I was think Saturday night then I remembered a few games before then so need to put that at the back of the mind now and lets sort Dagenham out on Tuesday night first, then cup game then Carlisle away (good test) and then Peterborough at home before Brighton. Certainly can feel the confidence growing and while bound to be odd slip up as that happens in football have every confidence in NA.
