THE PROSPECTS FOR THIS SEASON
By email from David in Stockholm.......
As a fan of over 50 years..yes really !.. I have a different mindset to many of the younger
contributors, and perhaps have more patience than most.
It seems to me that " Pardew's team" from last season is still good enough (on paper) and
Adkins is too good a manager at this level to foul it up, so we will eventually return to the top 6
(probably before Christmas) and a few selected buys in January will strenthen the squad and
we'll move up to CCC - albeit a year later than Liebherr/Cortese originally planned.
Hard luck on Pardew - YES... but NG looks like an able replacement and so I'm not too worried.
