Brilliant performance from first minute until the last minute of stoppage time (which I hope means the team have, at long last, learned that stoppage time means the game is still in progress). I didn't think we'd get anything apart from a point, at best, so this is brilliant.

By all accounts this was the best performance by far of this season. fonte was immense at the back and the rest of the team played with the fire seen in several cup games this season. Ap reckons that this is his best starting eleven so looks as if we are finally going to be playing a settled side. I am over the moon. We took the game to Norwich from the first whistle and could and should have had more to show for our superiority.
Watch us now as we rise up the table to a far better looking position in the table.

A great result and would appear to be a great performance. I am glad Barnard scored as have always thought he would be okay once he settled in, has consistently scored at other clubs. Defence look settled and Puncheon seems to have been a threat from midfield.

Now need to take this into the next games and Wycombe and Walsall will be good tests as games which we should win comfortably but like many Saints fans that have been going to long will wait and see!

After reading some of the posts on the Norwich sites there was a lot of bad feeling spilling over. We have had two tough games at SMS against them but took them apart on saturday. I am left wondering whether we will start finding it easier to play away as the opposition will be more prepared to attack. This will leave us able to counter at pace and maybe do another demolition job or two away from home. Things are definitely looking better than two weeks ago. With AP now declaring to us that he will be playing our best team as often as possible it does look as though he now knows where his best players will be playing.
