Still no Skacel, not even on the bench. I thought he might be included tonight.
Also surprised BWP has been given another chance after Saturday, with John and Pekhart on the bench.
There are seven on the bench for Carling Cup games? Never realised that...

Absolutely dreadful first half. I hope the second half is a massive improvement. If Poortvliet fails to make the necessary changes then we'll know for sure he's clueless.

Poortvliet is clueless and it took me a lot longer than most to realise

Re: Saints v Rotherham Utd Match Thread
It is. I'm listening on Radio Solent and it sounds absolutely terrible. Total football? Total bloody nightmare more like. Poortvliet is clueless and can stick his Dutch 'total football' up his cloggy arse.
How much lower can Saints sink into the depths of complete shiteness?

Re: Saints v Rotherham Utd Match Thread
Rupert Lowe and Michal Wilde can fuck right off and take Jan 'Total Football' Poortvliet with them. Total football? Do me a favour, it's more like a 'Total Nightmare' for the fifth successive season...
No disrespect to Rotherham, but being taught a football lesson by a team 48 places below us is a humiliation. Yes, I am PISSED OFF.

Probably. Too lightweight, too inexperienced, too negative, too shallow, too predictable, no decent defenders, lone striker up front with no fall back plan in case things don't go well...

Re: Saints v Rotherham Utd Match Thread
God knows. We are in the shit right now and to be honest, I fear we are stuck with Lowe, unless soemthing drastic such as a takeover happens. What ever happened to Dave Merrington and the consortium he was involved in? He is still commentating on Solent and is pretty coy about any take over - is that because it is genuinely dead in the water or because he and his 'colleagues' still have something up their sleeves?
Some people on *the other forum* are talking about Billy Davies as manager, yes he maybe is a shit, but a shit is just what we need, to give the players a damned good boot up the arse. No his football isn't pretty, but what is the point of pretty football when all you do is lose or draw matches? I'd rather we played dirty, route-one football and won a few games than the pretty stuff and get found out every game and get nothing. Saints aren't dirty enough and bloody need to be.

Re: Saints v Rotherham Utd Match Thread
Forgotten all about the mystery takeover. Would there be any point if no money for players?
Would we be able to get anyone on our cashflow?
Looks like we will just have to sweat and pray right now for a change of fortune.
Can see why we were unable to get rid of Scacel. Can't get a game in a team struggling like ours. Like to know why.
