INJURY LATEST
On the ITV website.....
Southampton have been boosted by the news that David Connolly's injury is not as bad as first feared.
The striker, who has scored two in two games since signing for Saints at the beginning of the month, picked up an elbow injury in the win against MK Dons.
But club medical chief Mo Gimpel is confident Connolly will be fit for the upcoming trip to Leyton Orient.
He told the official website: "The good news is that the X-Ray proved that nothing was broken, and although it looked quite a nasty one at the time, he is just suffering from a bruised elbow joint."
Further good news for Saints is that veteran full-back Graeme Murty, who has been out since August with knee ligament damage, could make his comeback in next week's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Charlton.
However, it will be at least a month before fellow defender Lee Molyneux recovers from his back injury.

Re: INJURY LATEST
Murty played for the Reserves today and scored in a 2-1 win. Hope he will make the first team squad for Saturday.
Here's what I found.
Graeme Murty stepped up his return from injury by scoring a 40-yard screamer for Southampton reserves.
Murty, battling back from knee-ligament damage suffered in August, set Saints on their way to a 2-1 victory against Bristol City.
"It was a great shot and finish," said reserves boss Stewart Henderson. "He was excellent. It's nice to see him back again and good for him to get some time on the pitch."
Gavin Williams had given the visitors the lead with a deflected strike before Murty levelled in style.
The 34-year-old was rested on the hour mark and shortly after Matthew Paterson gave Saints the lead with a smart side-footed finish.

Re: INJURY LATEST
The youngster bought from Eastleigh had a good game as well by all accounts. Aaron Martin was recommended to saints and is an aggressive tackling centre back. Hee was signed after a two week trial and a game for the reserves. Could be one for the near future.
Re: INJURY LATEST
My fear is we end up rushing Murty back to soon, would rather we get him properly fit even if it delays his come back by a couple of days. I think he makes the back 4 look solid and he just takes control in the games I have seen him play.
Thought Martin would be one for the future but if Trotman puts in mnay more perfomance like last couple, wasnt great against Orient, then he might get a chance earlier than expected. Difficult to judge until see him in game, I guess someone could describe Lancashire as a tough tackling Centre half!!

Re: INJURY LATEST
If I was Pards I would want him to play another reserve game before making the first team.
Re: INJURY LATEST
Agree needs another game but afraid Pardew will risk him as no clean sheets.
