Revenge! We owe them for a) the televised humiliation two seasons ago and b) their last minute winner at SMS recently.

Re: FA Cup and its away at Bristol Rovers
Since that last game.
We have now gelled and are winning.
They have started losing to teams we have and will beat.
We owe them and will exact revenge.

Re: FA Cup and its away at Bristol Rovers
I am expecting a close game. As it is on Friday night it means the losing team will be the first to go out in the first round of the cup. Dont want the embarrassment of that.

You were very unlucky to lose in the League match. I have a feeling youll get revenge this time. But it may go to a replay.

Re: FA Cup and its away at Bristol Rovers
Wouldnt be surprised at a draw but wouldnt be surprised if Hammond is rested as he struggled on Saturday though Mellis and Trotman not available. Will mean Thomas I would think in at CB and might go 4 4 2 with Lallanan playing more a midfield role. If he goes 4 4 2 dont think he will risk Connolly yet from the start.
I would actually put Thomas RB, Perry at CB and play James in midfiled and keep 4 5 1 for start, there again thats probably why I am not a football manager.

Re: FA Cup and its away at Bristol Rovers
Thomas has to play for me. With Hammond unlikely to play I guess Wotton has to start. I would also think about starting with Antonio. He is stronger than any other wide man and more direct. Being a cup game I would be sorely tempted to start with Bart, James,Thomas,Jaidhi,Harding,Antonio,Wotton,Schneiderlin,Lallana,Papa,Lambert.
Kelvin would possibly enjoy a rest as he has shown signs of a loss of form recently. Nothing too serious so far but he has been at fault for a couple of goals lately and he has also made a few poor choices. My one concern is that we still look a bit threadbare when we have 2 or 3 injured. We still need some fresh blood to keep us going.

Re: FA Cup and its away at Bristol Rovers
I would pick Perry over Thomas at centre-back but probably Thomas over James at right back, perhaps putting James in midfield to give Hammond a rest as his injury could get bad if he keeps playing on it. Antonio deserves a start now but at the same time I would say that we musn't drop Papa. Now that we have improved defensively I would like to see us go 4-4-2 and drop Wotton if possible.
I see Paterson, Gobern and Saga are all in the squad for tonight, so perhaps they could feature.

Re: FA Cup and its away at Bristol Rovers
I would put Perry and Thomas in to cover James and Trotman - and I agree with Teamsaint, put James in M/F and leave Hammond out due to his injury, the League's more important than the Cup (although I want revenge over Bristol Rovers, it's not worth risking a player over).

Lallana puts one over the crossbar.
Thanks for the link Teamsaint, but my broadband's acting up so I'll stick with Solent commentary for now.

Rovers just hit the post, as well as Thomas clearing ball off the line. That's the closest anyone's come to scoring. Harding injured and Williams gets yellow card.
