Re: OLDHAM ON SATURDAY
Because we are away I would have Kelvin in goal.
Thomas, Jaidhi,Trotman and Harding also pick themselves as our back four.
The midfield is where we have to decide on our strategy. Melis,Hammond,Spiderman and Lallana have been fairly reliable lately. I would be tempted to do the unthinkable and play Wotton for Mellis. With him in the team Hammond has more of a license to attack. Lallana has been on fire lately and hopefully that will continue.
Papa and lambo will do for starters for me. Rickie has improved along with his fitness. Papa has looked like a loose cannon at times with nobody knowing where he will go next or what he will do. He has a bit of pace and has shown a willingness to run for the ball which can upset defenders.
We have Bart who I would have given a game by now. He spent a week at Carlisle and enjoyed two wins with them. That will have done him a lot of good. Now we should give him a game or two as well. Connolly should be ready for the bench along with Holmes. Mellis,James,Fish and one other, maybe Perry.
I hope to be able to cheer the side on, on here, with a couple of you on saturday. Though being saints fans we will always be ready for the knocks when they come. At this stage we are looking for performance more than points but only just as both are of paramount importance.
Start with Mellis or Wotton and swap if not working.

Re: OLDHAM ON SATURDAY
Difficult choice for AP this weekend but think he will stick with the 4 5 1 formation at least to start, with the depth on bench lots of option to change.
Davis
Thomas(wouldnt be surprised if AP starts James!) Jaidi Trotman Harding
Lallana Schneiderlin, Hammond,Wotton, Papa
Lambert
Subs Bart, James, Perry, Mellis, Connolly, Paterson, Holmes. (has to be best set of subs we have had for a long time)
Personally I would have gone with the the 4 4 2 option with Connolly in for Papa

I agree with SFC Forever. I wouldn't change anything about the team as it currently stands. If the team keeps collecting the points and playing well, then they all basically pick themselves. Regarding the keepers, I'd only change them round if Davis starts losing form.
If we end up having to chase the game in the second half then Connolly could come on for Wotton, Mellis or Schneiderlin.
I plan on being here tomorrow, so you'll have some company SFC Forever.

Goal of the season if that had gone in. Come on Saints, let's take advantage of their shakey-sounding keeper.
Good save Davis.

Hmm. While part of me wants them to lose, as usual, I would be quite happy to see Redkrapp go away with his tail between his legs.
