HUDDERSFIELD COMMENTARY

Our midfield was not at the races and it was same old game as last season.

In truth a better team than Northampton would have punished us for some sloppy defending on Tuesday. This defeat will hopefully provide the wake up call we need to get us showing some teams a bit more respect. As we have been saying for over a year a midfielder who can pass, tackle, run, head and shoot is needed as well as a new centre-back. I hope that the Jaidi deal is still being worked on but if not then Saeijs would be a good signing. There aren't too many of the type of midfielder that we need outside of the premiership but perhaps the players we have been linked with could be our solution. Ryan Doble in the reserves seems like a great prospect who we will hopefully see on the bench soon.

I trust AP will not be scared to make any changes he feels necessary. He has seen us at our worst and now must surely get in a couple of players to give us any chance of climbing the table.

Listening to AP's after match interview on the radio, I am confident that he will take measures to prevent this sort of bad performance happening again. He said it wasn't good enough and there was still a hangover from last year and that they will be in training tomorrow trying to put things right.

Absolutely great performance by Town ,Did not let Soton play at all ,you could see town had such a young team out as fitness was still there at the end ,Lambert showed Class and one of your subs on right wing caused some concern ,
I think you may struggle purely because you are a big name ,Town were determined possibly because you are a club not long out of prem and also Town supporters were pushing them along both creating good atmosphere through the football Town were showing and also by the baiting of Rickie Lambert (who in my opinion shoewd class by not over celebrating his goal against a crowd who would have hero worshipped him)
All teams will want to beat you as they do Leeds ,

Terrierbite - sorry about any disrespectful comments I made about Huddersfield in this thread, if you saw them; I was annoyed at losing so badly! fact is, Huddersfield deserved their win, we were a disgrace.

Hey no way was i offended by any remarks you may have made ,I like to think Town played well and you lot werent given a chance ,I unserstand you must be hacked off ,but remember their are 44 games left and as i said you will have teams raising there game against you ,well done to the 800 who came up ,if we doing well next time we play you i reckon we will bring down 2.5 k so make a good noise

OK Terrierbite this what we do. On the 'Saints versus The Rest' thread in the Forum competition Leagues in the Amusement section we have members who support several other sides. The members decide individually but as part of a team on results of all games played by each member playings team. I put the games up weekly and we all try to guess the results. The next games are on Tuesday and wednesday evenings and I will add Huddersfield to the list of games once finished this post. My daughter Twizzle will start at the same time as you sothe sides will remain equal. Any questions just ask on here or by PM.
