Lambert off, so he's all right for Saturday. Gobern replaces him.

Re: NORTHAMPTON CUP MATCH COMMENTARY
Sounds like a good workout. Defence still needs tightening up as Cobblers had a few chances.

It was Adam Blackmore and Dave Merrington commentating on Solent tonight, tbh I like their commentary.

Re: NORTHAMPTON CUP MATCH COMMENTARY
League One sides did pretty well tonight.
A few thought provoking scorelines, especially after the weekend.
Bristol Rovers 2 Aldershot 1
No Lambert hangover for the Pirates. Won as expected.
Brentford 0 Bristol City 1
Decent effort from the Bees, but Robins too strong.
Carlisle 1 Oldham 0
Carlisle bounce back from the Brentford defeat.
Cheltenham 1 Southend 2
Southend win as expected.
Colchester 1 Orient 2
Another good away win from Orient.
Gillingham 2 Plymouth 1
Cracking performance by Gills.
Hereford 0 Charlton 0
Charlton having a bit of a dodgy start to the campaign, despite beating Wycombe on Saturday.
Huddersfield 3 Stockport 1
Huddersfield look decent. GAME ON, Saturday!
Millwall 4 Bournemouth 0
A scoreline that only serves to emphasise what a good draw it was at St Mary's.
MKD 1 Swindon 4
Swindon bounce back.
With teams often creating about 10 goal scoring chances in a game, this further illustrates that, some days it just all goes right or wrong. Relevant to Norwich, also.
Shrewsbury 3 Ipswich 3
Very good score for Shrews.
Saints 2 Northampton 0
Nuff said!
Swansea 3 Brighton 0
Brighton really not firing yet.
Tranmere 4 Grimsby 0
Good scoreline for Tranmere.
Wycombe 0 Peterboro 4
Not sure if this demonstrates how much better Posh are, or just how poor Wycombe might be, given that they lost to a Charlton side at the weekend that were held at Hereford.
Yeovil 0 Norwich 4
Bet that stupid ( fickle ) fan wishes he had kept hold of his season ticket now, eh!

Colchester come back down to earth then.
Huddersfield look useful.
Huddersfield look useful.
Re: NORTHAMPTON CUP MATCH COMMENTARY
Seems as though we only need to strengthen midfield and get a big commandin lump at the back. Thomas was lucky by all accounts as he foulled a man from behind and got away with it. He is often caught on the wrong side of his man but maybe that will improve with games

Don't count on it, SFC.

Re: NORTHAMPTON CUP MATCH COMMENTARY
Sounds like a great performance but Northampton only managed a goalless draw at home to Macclesfield in League 2 at the weekend.
Was Saga injured or dropped? If he was dropped I should think that would increase his desire to leave as I didn't think he played badly on Saturday.

Re: NORTHAMPTON CUP MATCH COMMENTARY
To be honest I much prefer Gregor to Saga. If only he can be persuaded to stay then we will have two quality strikers and Paterson will learn from either if he gets the odd game. It was also extremely promising to see how Lallana seemed to be able to link with Lambert. Promising start for Rickie is a big understatement.
