Radhi Jaidi to sign for Saints
SAINTS should complete the signing of Radhi Jaidi today.
Pardew has made a commanding centre half his number one transfer priority ahead of Saturday’s season opener against Millwall and the 33-year-old is out of contract and available FREE.
At 6ft 4in tall, Jaidi should bring a much needed presence to the Saints rearguard.

Re: Radhi Jaidi to sign for Saints
Probably wouldn't be my first choice as he's nearly 34 but will definitely do a good job for us and score a few goals as well.

Jaidi close to signing for Saints
By Adam Leitch
SAINTS are closing in on centre half Radhi Jaidi as Alan Pardew aims to bolster his defence.
Pardew has made a commanding centre half his number one transfer priority ahead of Saturday’s season opener against Millwall and if things go smoothly then Jaidi is expected to be that man.
The 33-year-old is out of contract and available for nothing after being released by Birmingham in the summer following their promotion to the Premier League.
The Daily Echo understands that Jaidi underwent a medical at Saints yesterday and if the results come back all clear and personal terms are finalised he will become Pardew’s second signing after Dan Harding.
At 6ft 4in tall, Jaidi should solve the aerial problems that have dogged Saints and would prove the ideal addition at centre half alongside Chris Perry or Wayne Thomas, Pardew having said he considers Ollie Lancashire needs more time to flourish into a first team player

Re: Radhi Jaidi to sign for Saints
Well today has been and gone and no official word from the club on any signings no Jaidi or Murty, do you think Mr Oldknow is aware first game is 4 days away!! Am really frustrated that club give no information on what is going on, in case of Murty more and more looks likely he wont be signing as can see no any other reason for delay.
We all know Pinnacle caused delay which really has hurt but still think the club need to be more decisive when it comes to getting pen to paper. If AP wants to sign a palyer then they need to make it happen. Yes we need to get the structure right but for me that starts on the pitch and squad desperately short.
Off to spain tomorrow so will have to rely on Texts while lying on the beach to see who we sign, at least my mate gets to use my Season Ticket.
Good luck Saints for Saturday

Me and one or two of the kids will be there so hopefully we will see a team with purpose and endeavour. They have to be in red and white if showing the necessary.

Waiting on a work permit for Jaidi. Shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Radhi Jaidi to sign for Saints
I can't see why a player who's played in England for the last few years needs a work permit - unless it needs regular renewal? Even then I fail to see a problem with it, unless the player has not applied for one, for whatever reason.
Bloody annoying, he'd have been a good addition. Oh dear - Lancashire it still is for the foreseeable...

Re: Radhi Jaidi to sign for Saints
PU
One report suggested that he didn't apply for one, because he knew he wouldn't get it? What's going on?
Why would he go to all other lengths in securing a contract, and not apply for one? None of this makes any sense.
I believe a player has to represent his country a certain number of times to qualify, and perhaps his attendance has dropped off.
If this thing was really DEAD, I would expect the club to issue some kind of official word on the whole fiasco. So not giving up hope yet.

AP has said that the deal is not yet dead. Maybe it is more to do with money.
