Hello from Hartlepool
Just a quick hello from Hartlepool.
Looking forward to the new season?
We are, as usual. And dont take this the wrong way, but it is great to have you lot in our division, even it is only for one season.
Fixtures out this week, and I am hoping to get you first, or last game of the season at your place. Why?
Well my wife and all of her family are from Southampton, and some are big Saints fans. So you are my next favourite team. I have to say that.
So it will mark a great weekend in August........heres hoping.
Unlike most fans, I like to think we are friendlier than most, as I am sure you will find out soon enough.
We have very good links with West Ham fans, walsall fans and Sheffield Wednesday fans, and have always had good banter.
When you guys have to make the long trip up North I will post details of our Poolie pub that welcomes visiting fans, its right outside the ground, and is ran by two mates of mine.
Anyway, tata for now, and good luck for the season, except against the mighty blue and whites.
Come and visit us at http://www.pooliebunker.co.uk/newbunker/index.php
Its a bit off the wall, but I like to think, very funny.

Re: Hello from Hartlepool
Hi and welcome aboard. I have added you to our list of members who support other teams. Please feel free to join in our games and competition leagues. Want to be in the team of non-Saints supporters who are going to compete against a team of Saints supporters in result forecasting next season?
We have a weekly quiz here against Spurs fans, 10:30 Tuesday nights and we are looking for supporters of other teams to form a quiz team against us. On your website do you have a few guys who would like to form a Hartlepool fans quiz team??
I have tried to register on the site but it is not accepting me!!

Regarding your rather odd welcome?
Its sort of a tradition, its a long story, but dont be offended, it basically means Welcome to rather weird world of the Poolie Bunker.
We are the town that voted a Monkey in as Mayor afterall. Then re-elecetd him twice.

Re: Hello from Hartlepool
Hello from me too.
I will reiterate what my rotund friend said regarding us Hartlepool fans. We're generally a friendly bunch, which can be said for most of the fans you'll come across in League One. The only problems you tend to get is when you wander into some of the badlands where the denizens haven't yet accepted the reality of their new found (lack of) status. Helllooooo Leeds
I'm also a regular visitor to Southampton as my best friend grew up there and still has family there. I've been down 3 or 4 times this year and look forward to finally coming down for footballing reasons. Just a shame it's not The Dell. I used to walk/drive past it regularly while shuttling between Portswood and Freemantle and it would have been good to finally see inside the old place. St Marys'll have to do.
Apologies for the Tuesday night trip to our place. I'm sure it's for one of the following sensible reasons:
a) The fixture computer is a horrifically complicated piece of software that is beyond the ken of mortal man
b) What? Sorry, where? League One? Tell someone who cares.
All the best, and I look forward to seeing some of you in November

Nice to see two of you on here and hope you can bring some more over. Then maybe we can have a quiz of some fashion with your lot.

Re: Hello from Hartlepool
Oooh you big liar!!!!!
No one up at ours ever asks who ate all the pies, 'cos it's a foregone conclusion.
And all the kebabs.....

Re: Hello from Hartlepool
Are you Hartlepool guys able to get a quiz team together to compete against us and Spurs??
Re: Hello from Hartlepool
I think there is one in existence but in a pub quiz stylee. I'd be no good because of the time difference. I'm seven hours in front of you.

That's a no then??
Re: Hello from Hartlepool
Don't see how it would work, mate. Online quizzes tend to be a contest of who can type (or Google) the quickest. That suggests spending an evening in to sit in front of the computer pressing [F5] all the time. Not for me, sorry.
Re: Hello from Hartlepool
I only tend to post from work.
Far too busy when at home.
