Re: WOLVES COMMENTARY
Is it due to crap players or crap management? While I think that the players do have a lot to answer for, and a proportion of them hide rather than take responsibility, the fact that the management has been awful has been the cause of the problem, from Lowe on down. Jan Poortvliet was an unmitigated disaster and should have been sacked by Christmas. Sticking with that clueless twat has been a major factor in our impending relegation. Wotte's better, but not much.
Hopefully, next season, regardless of the division we find ourselves in we will have new owners, new players and a new manager. The cancer that has been poisoning and strangling the club has now gone so hopefully the Malaise of Southampton which killed off the Spirit of Southampton has now also gone.

Re: WOLVES COMMENTARY
both PU.
i think in the case of today though, the players. it doesn't matter who is on the pitch, if you don't attack the ball from a corner then the other team will score. these are professional footballers, not kids. they're scared of heading the ball. thats what 8 year olds are like. we need men, but too many of the men we have can't kick a football. paul wotton just hoofs the ball every time it comes anywhere near him. mark wotte can manage the players but if they 'play' like they did today then what can he do?

Re: WOLVES COMMENTARY
Looks like Div 1 next season. Hope we can start with a team though as this season has been the hardest one I have ever watched. We struggled from day one and just haven't got any better. If anything we are worse now.
Re: WOLVES COMMENTARY
With the team we have and the troubles we have had in defence I fail to understand why more of the reserves weren't tried. Lancashire had a chance and Mills. Hatch has never been given a shout and I am sure our yank could have done better than some as he does seem able to head the ball and tackle.
With new owners we will get a complete clearout. New Management and a team that hopefully will have a few players that can let people know that they are there. I can see a lot of our kids being sold but not for much. Times are hard and getting harder and our team has not done anything to up the ante. They have not only let us down but themselves.

Re: WOLVES COMMENTARY
I don't get why we signed Molyneaux then sent Mills on loan. Mills looked good to me earlier in the season and with him at left back, Skacel could have moved up into midfield

Re: WOLVES COMMENTARY
One thing, that was bugging me throught the commentary - why are Wolves shirts described as 'gold'? A dirty, horrible, burnt orange is more accurate. They're disgusting.

Re: WOLVES COMMENTARY
We sign Molyneux who can play on both sides at the back. We let Mills go but that may be beneficial as he looked like a rabbit caught in your headlights when he came out to play. He could easily have gone and said goodbye after the start he had here. Skacel has always tried as has Perry. Hatch was never given a chance when it was so obvious to all that James was not the answer. Molyneux can't get a game. Though to be fair James has improved a bit with experience.
Lancashire got redcarded in his first game. Then he gave away a second yellow to stop what looked like a certain goal which meant a red. He has been impetuous at times but no more so than many others. The kids have had to learn and some haven't been up to it. Lallana and Surman came with a lot of heralding but neither has produced. Schniederlin is another who we will have to let go. Injury prone and lightweight.
We have had numerous loanies and apart from Cork none have been on the money. Several haven't had a game and some were just so bad that they made our kids look good. Pulis still waits for a game. Morgan another who we shall not have seen this season. Dyer out on loan and flying from all accounts. Saga, Rasiak and John all let go on loan because we were broke.
If a buyer appears then the club will need a major face lift. We have a ground good enough for the premiership and let's hope that we can start filling it with the joyful sounds of our fans singing and roaring the team home. Division 1 beckons and I hope that we don't have to stay there for too long. It could take a season or two to begin the fight back but I pray that we do so soon bacause time waits for nobody and I would like to take my kids to see some of the bigboys before my time is up.
