Re: are we really that bad??
Blackpool game was a disaster. Qpr was poor to start with but I am sure that the team could have done well if 11 players had staye on the pitch. As match wore on we grew and began to show some form. The goal as you saw was extremely well worked and I thought we had a chance of winning. In fact we did have a couple of chances but miskicks cost us dearly. Then the blind came to QPRs' rescue. After that we were chasing the game and let a couple of soft goals in.
It isn't as bad as it looks except for the league table showing us down in bottom 3.

Re: are we really that bad??
I've only seen the Blackpool and QPR matches on Sky so can't say much more than you.
I am pleased to see there seems to be plenty of effort and commitment but a few more experienced heads look to be needed. I hope Skacel might help....if he is in the mood to try his best!!

Seen every game so far
The pattern is the same young, enthusiastic, skilled but small and inexperienced youngsters - there needs to be 3 quality experienced outfield players to keep shape and create room.
If Jan can keep their heads up and keep the motivation going the kids will grow with each game - in the short term we should pick up the odd points - and then as the season wears on they should grow in confidence and providing they can stay injury and red card free - we should become good enough to win a few games. I'd be happy if we just escape relegation as long as we can keep the team together and build for the 2009/10 season and not sell the better kids that catch the eys of the bigger clubs.
Kids, what are we talking about - most of them are in their late teens, early twenties - if they're going to make it they should have the stamina now and be playing like first team professionals.
On a personal note I'd much rather see the team that played QPR yesterday, rather than the tired, lazy lot of journeymen that we have called a team for the last couple of seasons, not winning promotion and nearly getting us relegated.
Good luck to Jan and the lads.....looking forward to seeing what we can do with the tractormen on Wednesday.
Worz.

Re: are we really that bad??
Welcome Worzel. I like your post very much. Totally agree and I am hoping to see the game Saturday.Thre were a few signs of the strength of character in our performance and for long periods after losing Lancashire we showed how dangerous we could be.
Re: are we really that bad??
We certainly didn't deserve to lose 4-1, bloody harsh sending off and the second goal was offside. It was a complete kick in the nuts and the kids who'd worked so hard to get in the game didn't deserve it.
Luck is being a complete shit to us at the moment!
I still have faith in Jan and the lads, it'll come good and we're still playing some great stuff (even with 10 boys against 11 men!)

Welcome back Bloop is all ok?
Agree wholeheartedly. In fact we were starting to get the hoops rattled. Roll on Weds.

Oh yes, the baby is still on-board the mummy bus. ;)
Still, my weekends are jam packed with DIY jobs in preparation of baby Bloop's arrival. Not long now me thinks!
